I would argue, quite passionately, that John Oliver is much more liberty minded than John Stewart. He's not 100% on this side of the fence, but he's quite passionately against many of the same things. We shouldnt be afraid to share his pieces when he's right; he's quite persuasive.

You're mostly correct. He's a liberal for sure, but the kind that gets together with libertarians and liberty folks on a good number of major issues. We shouldn't throw the baby out with the bathwater. Here's a quick collection I found:

Thanks for posting this. I thoroughly enjoyed the information presented in it and again confirms to me yet again why I hate govt. John Oliver may not be 100% in the liberty camp but when he is right, he is absolutely right

Would be interesting if John Oliver asked every person running in an election about these hot topic issues in a simple yes / no answer

Oliver doesn't really do politician interviews on his show. He'll have one long rant like this one and maybe 2-3minutes each on 3-4 other stories, and that's it.
