After watching the The View interview I think I might have found the fatal error Ron has.
He is too SMART?!
Comments? Thoughts?

It was because he was smart that he was able to handle them so easily on the abortion issue.

I think you're right. The campaign is doomed! We need to hire a professional dreser, speech writer, and we need to have him wear an earpiece with someone more stupid whispering into his ear. There are a couple of really negative posters on this board (possibly Romney campaign staffers I'm guessing) who would be glad to take up the job.

My ONLY critisism is this.
I know he is an older man, but he needs to carry himself with more authority. Voters respond to the "strong" candidate.

Ron Paul's fundamental flaw is that he is too intelligent and too truthful. ;)

oh, thats not a problem. his only "flaw" is this - HE'S TOO NICE!
But thats because he is actually being a real leader and inspiring us hoardes of supporters by his noble actions - we can do the dirty work for him ;) so its not really a flaw at all...

That's one of the reasons.
Maybe most people couldn't possibly believe that there can be such an honest and smart politician, that they just tune him out or find whatever reason they can to not support him. Like cognitive dissonance.
The reality of it: the average United States voter/tax payer is stupid! But yes, one of the reasons I like Ron Paul so much is that he's clearly an intellectual.

If he had the Bush writer speaking into his earpiece he might have said something like "I looked into Putin's uterus and I saw his soul" - not sure that would help?

The authority he showed on The View was great. :)

his only flaw imo is that he's too much of an intellectual.
