D.C. police feeling burned as new marijuana legalization laws means they can't use the smell of pot for probable cause

By Mail Online Reporter and Associated Press Reporter

Just one day into the District of Columbia's new law allowing recreational use of marijuana, police are already being told they can no longer use the smell of pot as probable cause.

As local reporters note, many of D.C.'s court affidavits begin with the words 'I detected a strong odor of marijuana...' making the smell a popular excuse to makea stop and search a vehicle.

The confusion could lead to a heavy caseload for internal affairs.

They get pissed when we accuse them of breaking the law.
They get pissed when we leave them NO EXCUSE to hide behind.
They get pissed when they cant MURDER us for absolutely no reason.

I once had a cop claim probable cause to search a vehicle and everyone inside of it because he claimed to have smelled cannabis coming from a tobacco cigar sitting in the car's ash tray.

Cannabis smells nothing like a tobacco cigar.

Going by probable-causing and then execution of Miriam Carey in front of her baby girl, they don't seem to have a good system to begin with.

Depends on your point of view of "good". Typically, less for us, more for them is percieved by "them" to be "good", where "them" is the Cops who validate the existence of their jobs, which is also "good" for "them". Understanding the differences between "good for us" and "good for them" allows one to understand their actions and motives and why this abuse will never ever stop until their jobs are eliminated.

They feel "burned" because this is a threat to their Monopoly on Violence. Ending their jobs is as simple as ending their Monopoly on Money. This is why they keep falling back to their Monopoly on Belief, which always says "Pot is Evil", but now their Monopoly of Belief is also faltering very heavily, thanks to our constant efforts. It may not feel like we are having much of an impact, but we really are.
