The Senate Judiciary Committee voted Thursday to confirm U.S. Attorney Loretta E. Lynch as the next attorney general, sending her nomination to the full Senate, where it is expected to be voted on in the coming days.

By a vote of 12 to 8, the committee approved the nomination of Lynch, the U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of New York, as the first African American woman to take the reins of the Justice Department. Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. announced in September that he would step down as soon as the Senate approved a new nominee.

Sens. Orrin G. Hatch (R-Utah), Lindsey O. Graham (R-S.C.) and Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.) voted with the committee’s nine Democrats to approve Lynch’s nomination. Several Republicans on the committee, including Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.) and Sen. John Cornyn (Tex.), said they would oppose the nomination because of President Obama’s executive action on immigration.

I'm still wondering what happened to Jeff Flake. People used to say he was one of the good guys in the House.

Government is literally afraid of freedom and is hostile towards the very people it claims to protect. Congress has been paid for, no person will save us. It is us who must ban together and unite for freedom.

The NDAA allows anyone, anywhere to be killed by drone on a mere accusation.
The patriot act has a SECRET patriot act that the US public may not see.
The NSA is spying on all of us with no discretion and will only be given MORE power.


Tax strike or violence. its our only two options. Lets be the ones that saw it coming and said NO, not this time.

I'm still wondering what happened to Jeff Flake. People used to say he was one of the good guys in the House.

It seems that the plan for the "groomed" Senators is that they fake it before they get elected, and once in Senate, they have usually reached the end goal. They are fully entrenched, never to leave no matter what they do, as long as they do the bidding of their masters (such as the US Chamber of Commerce or MIC sponsors). Usually they are neoconservatives.

Rubio, Flake, Ayotte, Cotton all fit the pattern.

The Senate is literally the bulwark of statism that I don't think we can realistically defeat. The House is far more freedom oriented than the U.S. Senate, at least on the Republican side.
