IDIOCY OF AMERICAN PUBLIC ON DISPLAY
http://www.theburningplatform.com/2015/02/17/idiocy-of-american-public-on-display/

Are you fucking kidding me? 84% of the ignorant masses actually believe 20,000 ragheaded camel jockeys in the Middle East who like to make gory Youtube videos and were funded and armed by the good old USA government are a CRITICAL threat to our country. That is the most pathetic thing I’ve ever read. Bernays was an absolute genius and his disciples have perfected the art of propaganda.

The US public education system has succeeded in dumbing down Americans to such an extent, they will believe anything they are told by the government and their MSM propaganda mouthpieces. I’m disgusted to be living amongst so many idiots and non-critical thinking believers. I sure hope it doesn’t take a majority to prevail, because we’re doomed if that is the case.

The Islamic State is seen as the gravest threat to the United States, according to a new poll from Gallup. The group released its latest horror video at the weekend, showing the mass beheading of 21 Egyptian Copts in Libya. The gruesome images have suggested that Isis is expanding its reach into North Africa, far from its current battlegrounds and havens in Iraq and Syria. Egypt carried out airstrikes in response to the beheadings.

84 percent of people in the US consider the Islamic State and international terrorism in general the most critical threats to American security. Iran’s nuclear ambitions and North Korea’s military strength follow with 77 and 64 percent respectively. The conflict between Ukraine and Russian-backed rebels has strained relations between Washington and Moscow in recent months, but nevertheless, tensions with Russia are lower on Americans’ list of potential threats.

They're right. It is.

The trouble is, if they found out ISIS is just another U.S. government alphabet agency, they'd suddenly see it as less of a threat. But that's the very reason it's a far bigger threat than they'd care to let themselves believe.

Polls are worthless. Meant to form opinion, not report it. Herding the sheep, iow. Your neighbor thinks 'ISIS' is a big threat. Why don't you????

The average American voter is the biggest threat to the US.

IS is not a critical threat to the US.

We have the best equipped military in the world. They have some AKs, toyota pickups, some tanks and some pilfered US gear.

We are 300 million, they are 100k.

They could commit an act of terror and kill thousands, maybe even hundreds of thousands of us. The full force of the Us military could kill all of them at will and reduce their third world backwater to a glass parking lot at the push of a button.

Not worried.

Americans is very moody, in 2002 they saw Iraq WMDs as grave threat just before SWC Bush did Freedom spread in Iraq and now they is very unhappy about freedom situation there 13 years later.

It would be even less of a threat if the CIA and our "allies" (read: Israel, Saudis, Turkey) stopped funding, training, and controlling them

If they were ever able to kill thousands of us on our soil, it would be with the help of another government. The best they can do is pick off people at a mall or a school. Something a heart broken American teen could do any of the week in America.

They are no more scarier than a hear broken American teen is what I'm saying.

You can keep repeating that, doesn't make it true.

I'm sure IS captured some US weapons and I'm sure some Syrian rebel groups supported by the US switched allegiances to IS.

But the US doesn't fund or control IS.

They are rather well funded. I think they could it on their own and a lot more than a mass shooting.

Doesn't mean we need to live in fear of them. IS could be easily defeated if necessary.

Disappointed but unsurprised that the USG was not a poll answer option.

Boobus will happily send their children to die for their lords in Washington. They will chant "USA" with that brain dead look in their eyes as they are handed an American flag and told the sacrifice was for our freedom.

That is probably the best representation of the situation I've seen.

You know I disagree with you simply because there is little separation between western and 'allies' intelligence agencies anymore. They're working hand-in-hand toward same immediate goal, overthrow of Syrian gov't. But for sake of argument, if what you're saying is true then it means that members of Congress are literally working directly for foreign governments to the detriment of American citizens, which of course is high treason. I'm at least trying to give McCain and his ilk the benefit of the doubt. Maybe, just maybe they're still working for the CIA, even though CIA is working hand-in-hand with foreign interests.

Just a theory so far based on various recent media items, but I think a foundation is starting to be built to claim 'ISIS' was the perpetrator of the Benghazi consulate attack.

Guessing the answers you think the pollsters want to hear, is much more fun and interesting than the old ignorance and apathy, "I don't know and I don't care".;) Answering opposite to what you really think, works and is fun too.

Indeed. Perfect summary and conclusion. These people, like every other boogieman hauled out by the government, are nothing to worry about in the least. The stupidity is unbelievable. The gullibility is unbelievable. It's just maddening.
