U.S. Falls Again in World Press Freedom Index – Now Ranked #49 Globally (http://www.infowars.com/u-s-falls-again-in-world-press-freedom-index-now-ranked-49-globally/)

In the United States, 2014 was marked by judicial harassment of New York Times investigative reporter James Risen in connection with the trial of Jeffrey Sterling, a former CIA officer charged under the Espionage Act with giving him classified information. US journalists are still not protected by a federal shield law that would guarantee their right not to name their sources or reveal other confidential information about their work. Meanwhile, at least 15 journalists were arbitrarily arrested during clashes between police and demonstrators protesting against black teenager Michael Brown’s fatal shooting by a white police officer in Ferguson, Missouri.

The press is the only "company" or "industry" referenced in the constitution. Without a free press yer toast. And, really, I don't even consider some of these talking heads "press". Although they assume the title. Press was corrupted a long time ago. Hijacked.

"O'er the land of the #49 and the home of the brave."

Doesn't really have too much of a snap to it. :p

Really? Anyone could have told you that? Citing that group is the equivalent to citing the Southern Poverty Law Center, who calls anyone who blinks the wrong way a hate group.

Use some some common sense. England BANNED Michael Savage from even entering their country. Canada is number 8? How many stories like this happen in the United States http://news.nationalpost.com/2014/11/27/ezra-levant-loses-hate-speech-case-must-pay-80000-to-man-he-defamed-as-illiberal-islamic-fascist/?
Like ZERO-in the history of the country. Canada has police ready to arrest Ann Coulter for "hate speech" when she spoke in Ottawa.

The US isn't perfect, but speech and freedom of the press is still light years better than most everywhere else.

Basically just a peek at various instances of what is essentially media malfeasance. I'm sure that there are many more but I only post there once in a while.

I once saw a bumper sticker that read "Land of the Fee". I got a chuckle out of that one.

Apparently Freedom is a scarce resource that can't be had by all. [/SARCASM ]

Well, you voted for him. You're responsible.

Don't you people ever get tired of empowering government? Do you ever see that empowering them can give you what you want, BUT ALSO take what you have?
