Was on at the start of the show. Talked about the budget, then about Rand 2016 with the liberty football thing from his twitter, and then onto his comments regarding Jeb's hypocrisy towards marijuana.

So did Kennedy. The Independents was on at 9pm, now she's on at 10pm.

The compassion that Rand displayed at the end of that clip was priceless and part of what leads me to believe he has the same libertarian beliefs as dad. Big man!

There is at least a small ray of hope.

Yes he Did!

There is at least a small ray of hope.

Based off of what I have read about his pre-Senate days, I firmly believe (until a President Paul proves me wrong) that he is a whole lot closer to his father than he can let on, but he is softening some of his extreme (I use the word for lack of a better one on issues that seem extreme to mainstream voters) positions like legalizing drugs, pulling all troops out of just about everywhere, ending all foreign aid, etc. in order to be more electable. He is, at least in my reckoning, playing a game of subterfuge.

I think he's softening his views on legalizing drugs, but I think that the foreign policy he's been advocating is probably fairly close to what he would do as President. I think he would probably reduce our military presence overseas but not close all of the bases and bring all of the troops home.

I think his position on drugs is to decriminalize on the federal level and then leave it up to the states on whether to legalize. He certainly seems in favor of medical marijuana.

"What he would do as President" and "what he actually supports" aren't necessarily identical. Mind you, they might be, but they don't have to be.
