Obama: ‘Get Your Kids Vaccinated’
"You should get your kids vaccinated. It's good for them..."

by Daniel Halper | Weekly Standard | February 2, 2015

President Obama told parents in America to "get your kids vaccinated" in an interview with NBC's Savannah Guthrie:

“I understand that there are families that in some cases are concerned about the effect of vaccinations. The science is, you know, pretty indisputable. We’ve looked at this again and again. There is every reason to get vaccinated, but there aren’t reasons to not,” said Obama.

“You should get your kids vaccinated. It’s good for them, but we should be able to get back to the point where measles effectively is not existing in this country.”

Well. Hm. I've posted this in a few relevant threads but since its relevant here too...

Obama proposes genetic biobank of 1mn Americans’ DNA to fight disease (http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?467795-Got-genes-Obama-proposes-genetic-biobank-of-1mn-Americans’-DNA-to-fight-disease&p=5769063&viewfull=1#post5769063)

A new $215 million US government proposal would seek more than 1 million American volunteers for analysis of their genetic information in an initiative to fight disease, while developing targeted health care based on one’s DNA.

The US Congress has signaled support for the biobank project, according (http://news.sciencemag.org/biology/2015/01/obama-precision-medicine-plan-would-create-huge-u-s-genetic-biobank?rss=1) to Science magazine, but it would still have to approve Obama’s funding proposal.

Dr. Margaret Hamburg, the FDA's commissioner, said Thursday a new regulatory structure to accompany the development of new drugs and precision medicine "presents a set of new issues for us at FDA,” adding that the agency is in the process of working on new ways to review individualized medical procedures.

DNA mapping is an increasingly valuable tool for law enforcement as well as the health industry. In its 2013 Maryland v. King ruling, the US Supreme Court narrowly decided (http://rt.com/usa/supreme-court-dna-police-171/) that the Fourth Amendment allows law enforcement to, without a warrant, collect DNA samples from arrestees even if they have not been convicted of a crime.

"Make no mistake about it,” the dissenting group of justices wrote of the majority decision. “Your DNA can be taken and entered into a national database if you are ever arrested, rightly or wrongly, and for whatever reason."

"... without propaganda there can, of course, be no large-scale immunisation, but how perilous it is to mix up propaganda with scientific fact. If we baldly [in plain or basic language] told the whole truth it is doubtful whether the public would submit to immunization ... Accidents and mistakes must inevitably happen and when they take place what might have been a highly instructive lesson is usually suppressed or distorted out of recognition."

Not that I entirely agree with this, just to note that in Maryland v. King 569 U.S. ___ (2013), police still require PC to arrest and that charges be filed. They cannot just stop you and swab or prick your because they have been bonded with a badge, handcuffs, and a pistol.

From its Syllabus:
Held: When officers make an arrest supported by probable cause to hold for a serious offense and bring the suspect to the station to be detained in custody, taking and analyzing a cheek swab of the arrestee’s DNA is, like fingerprinting and photographing, a legitimate police booking procedure that is reasonable under the Fourth Amendment.

...And isn't "Obama" making such a recommendation akin to insider trading?

People are worried about more than just effectiveness a lot of people just don't want all big pharma's toxic crap being injected into their bodies and are concerned about side effects.

"I don't want to." Is all the reason a free man needs.
