I didn't see this in the FAQ or in the hundred or so posts I've read thus far, so I thought I'd just ask.

I mean if it's not campaign related, why can't anyone purchase blimp time?

It's still not allowed for non-citizens to advertise for a candidate. If the guy who bought the USA Today ad wasn't American, he wouldn't have been allowed to do that either, even though it had nothing to do with the campaign.

That's not paying for advertising. They can't rent a billboard either.

I'm not a lawyer, though, I could be wrong.
