Don't we have a "Global War on Terror" started for over a decade now that seems to have gone swimmingly well from Iraq to Afghanistan to Syria and beyond, is this moderate zionist ex senator just calling for its renaming or start of a second global war in parallel to GWOT?
This gets confusing.

A Global War on Radical Islam
By Joseph Lieberman
Updated Jan. 13, 2015 5:14 p.m. ET

A few important questions, following the terrorist atrocities in Paris last week: We are all Charlie now, but are we ready to fight to protect freedom of expression before another cartoonist is killed by Islamist extremists? Are we ready to do what is necessary to stop the killing of another police officer just because she is a police officer, and more Jews just because they are Jews? In other words, can the inspiring unity that filled the streets of Paris on Sunday in defense of freedom be transformed into the mighty unity that is necessary now to defeat radical Islam before it kills more people and takes away more freedom?
...
The White House has now admitted that it made a mistake on Sunday by not sending a high-ranking representative to the remarkable march in Paris. But a much greater, history-changing opportunity still awaits President Obama : to lead a global alliance to destroy violent Islamist extremism.

Former Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for Economic Policy and editor of the Wall Street Journal, Paul Craig Roberts, wrote on his blog Thursday that the atrocities were a “false flag” operation, similar to those carried out after World War II to frame communists.
“Muslims are going to be framed for an inside job designed to pull France firmly back under Washington’s thumb,” he wrote.

The flagship of the French fleet, the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier Charles DeGaulle, has been ordered to the Gulf region to support the mission against ISIS and possibly join the U.S. carrier Carl Vinson in airstrikes.
In remarks on Wednesday aboard the DeGaulle, French President Francois Hollande said that the terror attacks in Paris last week by Islamic extremists “justifies the presence of our aircraft carrier” in the Gulf.

Lieberman Suggests Switching Parties Over War-Funding Vote

Lieberman told The Politico (http://www.opencongress.org/wiki/index.php?title=The_Politico&action=edit&redlink=1) on February 22, 2007, that "he has no immediate plans to switch parties but suggested that Democratic opposition to funding the war in Iraq might change his mind." [1] (http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0207/2865.html)

Statements on progress in Iraq

In a November 29, 2005 op-ed in the Wall Street Journal, Lieberman praised the contemporary strategy in Iraq and predicted a significant withdrawal of forces by the end of 2006 or 2007:

"I have just returned from my fourth trip to Iraq in the past 17 months and can report real progress there... Progress is visible and practical... Does America have a good plan for doing this, a strategy for victory in Iraq? Yes we do... The administration's recent use of the banner "clear, hold and build" accurately describes the strategy as I saw it being implemented last week. We are now embedding a core of coalition forces in every Iraqi fighting unit, which makes each unit more effective and acts as a multiplier of our forces. Progress in "clearing" and "holding" is being made... American military forces could begin a drawdown in numbers proportional to the increasing self-sufficiency of the Iraqi forces in 2006. If all goes well, I believe we can have a much smaller American military presence there by the end of 2006 or in 2007, but it is also likely that our presence will need to be significant in Iraq or nearby for years to come."[2] (http://www.opinionjournal.com/editorial/feature.html?id=110007611)

Also in the Wall Street Journal op-ed, Lieberman implied that the dissent in America over the war is hurting the morale of troops in Iraq:

"After a Thanksgiving meal with a great group of Marines at Camp Fallujah in western Iraq, I asked their commander whether the morale of his troops had been hurt by the growing public dissent in America over the war in Iraq. His answer was insightful, instructive and inspirational: 'I would guess that if the opposition and division at home go on a lot longer and get a lot deeper it might have some effect, but, Senator, my Marines are motivated by their devotion to each other and the cause, not by political debates.'"[3] (http://www.opinionjournal.com/editorial/feature.html?id=110007611)

The culprits: Joseph Lieberman (http://www.rightweb.irc-online.org/profile/lieberman_joe), the Connecticut senator with neoconservative foreign policy views, and progressive darling Elizabeth Warren, who is running for a Senate seat in Massachusetts.

International organization needed to fight 'vicious enemy': Gen. Michael Flynn4 Hours Ago|02:38

The U.S. needs to organize an international coalition, including Muslim nations, to combat the "metastasized cancer" inside of Islam, retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn told CNBC on Friday, in the wake of the deadly attack in Nice, France.
Flynn, formerly director of the Defense Intelligence Agency under President Barack Obama, had been on presumptive GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump's list for a running-mate.
"I was very hopeful that President Obama, when he first came into office, ... we would see a lot of change," Flynn said on "Squawk Box." But the ex-military intelligence chief said he became disillusioned by the administration's refusal to recognize radical Islam as the enemy.
"We have to get off this nonsense of what it is we are facing. And this is a very radical form, and I call it a sort of metastasized cancer, inside of the Islamic ideology," Flynn said. "We definitely have to challenge the doctrine, this evil doctrine. We have to challenge it. We challenged communism. We challenged fascism. We challenged Nazism."
At least 84 people, including two Americans, watching Bastille Day fireworks in the French Riviera city of Nice were killed Thursday night, when a suspect drove a truck at high speed into the crowd. Police shot and killed the driver, who reports say was a French national of Tunisian descent.
French President Francois Hollande condemned the massacre, saying: "There's no denying the terrorist nature of this attack." He also said, "France as a whole is under threat of Islamic terrorism."

Flynn said the kind of attack in France is about an enemy who has "declared war on our way of life."

The new issue of Charlie Hebdo features drawings of the Orlando terror attack and Donald Trump.

Collapsed in pools of blood outside a darkened Pulse nightclub, four cartoon bodies lay beside a giant Donald Trump caricature that is screaming anti-immigrant rhetoric – a provocative drawing that adorns the new cover of France’s satirical Charlie Hebdo magazine.
An angry Trump points and yells in a word bubble at Muslim immigrants “who come to kill” gay people. Several translations of Hebdo’s original French wording reveal profane versions for “immigrants” and “gay people.”

RW media should look at his actions instead of waiting for words, he has probably killed more Islamic children/civilians with drones than any other POTUS in history. Why don't they apprecaite that and give him some credit?

So does Bill Maher in thinking people take the Democrat parties views on mass immigration seriously. Bill Maher thinks if the Dems started saying Radical Islam they would be polling better.
