Wikis are up!
On December 1st, 2007 thewhitewhale says:

I've got the word invasionist up in both wikipedia and wiktionary. I have very limited experience with both but I got them started for any one who can dress them up a bit more. Tried to add a picture of Paul and McCain duking it out from the Nov 29th GOP debate but couldn't figure it out! Anyway, let's run with it!!

THE NEOCON MEDIA ARE ****INVASIONISTS*****!!! (http://dailypaul.com/node/10283)

Are you sick of people calling Dr. Paul an isolationist???

Well, everytime someone calls Dr. Paul an isolationist, respond by saying the other candidates are all invasionists

Since the media wants to change isolationist to mean "someone who wants to trade and be friends but not invade", the Ron Paul Revolution is introducing the word invasionist to the political vocabulary:

invasionist [in-vey-zhuhn-ist] -noun
1. Someone who advocates invading other countries as a foreign policy (see McCain (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jul_Aia50Qo), Giuliani (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uiDpSwsnZq8), Romney, Huckabee (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NS3BxggBTa8), Thompson)
2. This word is typically used to mock neoconservatives for misusing the word isolationist
3. Presidential candidate Ron Paul is a non-invasionist

:p

Let's practice using it in a sentence :D

Just so people know

the excepted word for invasionist is jingoist, look it up...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jingoist

Jingoism is defined in the Oxford English Dictionary as "extreme patriotism in the form of aggressive foreign policy".

We don't need to go around making new words when such words already exist.

Invasionist is far more truthy than jingoist.

I like and use the word "jingoism" but I like the directness of "invasionism." I spent a bit of time recently trying to explain jingoism (wish I'd had an OED handy) but I doubt I would have had to explain invasionist. :D Some neologisms are worthwhile.

3. Presidential candidate Ron Paul is a non-invasionist

The 3rd one wouldn't be a definition at all.

HAHA, we just need to get Colbert to say it to make it official. :D

I could see this idea really catching on and affecting the national discussion. The first rule I learned in high school debate class is that if you want to win you need to be the one to define the terms.

Invasionist is far more truthy than jingoist.

It's actually far more specific and distinct from jingoist. A jingoist could merely saber-rattle, do some bombing runs of a defenseless country (like Clinton did to Kosovo), maybe fund some in-country death squads and still not be called an invasionist. Invasionism is maybe a subset of jingoism.
