IMO, any member of the house that claims to be a 'liberty' candidate and voted for John Boehner for a third term as Speaker has lost any and all credibility.

My bros Amash and Massie stand out as principled reps who voted against him!

Anyone conspicuously absent from this list? I don't see Mia Love... I don't see a lot of names...

Heres the list:

In the biggest defection from an incumbent speaker in at least 100 years, 25 House Republicans voted for someone other than John Boehner to serve as speaker in the 114th Congress.

Here's the full list, in order (The names on the right are who they voted for):

1.Rep. Justin Amash (Mich.) -- Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio)
2.Rep. Brian Babin (Tex.) -- “present”
3.Rep. Rod Blum (Iowa) -- Rep. Dan Webster (R-Fla.)
4.Rep. Dave Brat (Va.) -- Rep. Jeff Duncan (R-S.C.)
5.Rep. Jim Bridenstine (Okla.) -- Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-Tex.)
6.Rep. Curt Clawson (Fla.) -- Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.)
7.Rep. Scott DesJarlais (Tenn.) -- Jordan
8.Duncan -- Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.)
9.Rep. Scott Garrett (N.J.) -- Webster
10.Rep. Chris Gibson (N.Y.) -- House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.)
11.Rep. Paul Gosar (Ariz.) -- Webster
12.Gohmert -- Gohmert
13.Rep. Tim Huelskamp (Kan.) -- Webster
14.Rep. Walter Jones (N.C.) -- Webster
15.Rep. Steve King -- Webster
16.Rep. Tom Massie (Ky.) -- Rep. Ted Yoho (R-Fla.)
17.Rep. Mark Meadows (N.C.) -- Webster
18.Rep. Rich Nugent (Fla.) -- Webster
19.Rep. Gary Palmer (Ala.) -- Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.)
20.Rep. Bill Posey (Fla.) -- Webster
21.Rep. Scott Rigell (Va.) -- Webster
22.Rep. Marlin Stutzman (Ind.) -- Webster
23.Rep. Randy Weber (Tex.) -- Gohmert
24.Webster -- Webster
25.Yoho -- Yoho
Vote totals:

1.Webster: 12
2.Gohmert: 3
3.Yoho: 2
4.Jordan: 2
5.Others/"present": 6
There were also some Democrats who voted against their nominee, House minority leader and former speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.):

1.Rep. Jim Cooper (Tenn.) -- Colin Powell
2.Rep. Gwen Graham (Fla.) -- Cooper
3.Rep. Dan Lipinski (Ill.) -- Rep. Peter DeFazio (D-Ore.)
4.Rep. Kyrsten Sinema (Ariz.) -- Rep. John Lewis (D-Ga.)

There's still to many critters who don't want to jeopardize their committee assignments, which is stupid, as Thomas Massie pointed out in his most recent article that was featured on RPF's main page. It's stupid because even if you're on the committee, the House Speaker gets final say. So you can suck up to the House Speaker all you want, but if his philosophy on the role of government isn't anything like yours, then he's gonna punt your ideas out every time.

I'm interested in the list of names that said they would defect from Boehner but didn't.

That's gonna be every freshman Georgia congressman. This state is one big disappointment heaped upon a pile of shit.
