Is that cause for concern?
I know nothing of NH politics, but if the newspapers support a guy that can't be good for everyone else

CNN covered this earlier. The only two guys that they endorsed who went on to win the NH primary were Regan and Buchanan. I'm sure they still are very influential, but it's not indicative of who is going to win anything.

McCain's goose will ultimately be cooked. He is for general amnesty of all illegal aliens and suppressed the First Amendment rights with his campaign finance legislation. The foregoing are both unpardonable sins to the GOP grass roots.

And that was only 50% of the time that they endorsed those two. The Union Leader endorsed Reagan in 1976 and 1980; Reagan lost NH in 1976. The Union Leader endorsed Buchanan in 1992 and 1996; Buchanan lost NH in 1992.
