Mike Lee is, as politicians go anyway, one of the good guys. Heck, he even outlined an anti-crony agenda a few weeks back. So it should come as no surprise that the Utah crony brigade might want him gone. The old Republicans have not forgiven Lee for taking out one of their own in the Senate primary 4 years ago. John Hunstman Sr. (not the guy who kind of ran for president, but his very rich dad) called Lee a “radical.”

Was expecting this- Lee is definitely on the neocon hit list.

This is just a story being promoted so different Tea Party Neocon PACs can fundraise off. They'll spend it on someone else.

Give money to Amash, Huelskamp and Walter Jones instead.

Walter Jones should also tout his endorsements by Limbaugh, JD Hayworth and Steve King to the teocon voters. His lone NC stand against the Cromnibus and "any amnesty bill".

Mike Lee doesn't need a cent to be re-elected by 25 points in the primary and general. Neither does Steve King.

Be more concerned with helping the challengers to Ayotte, Jerry Moran, Hoeven and other RINOs.

I think Steve King and Rand Paul are involved with Jennifer Rubin writing hit pieces to promote themselves after getting attacked by RINO bloggers.

Politico also wants to feel relevant.

There's no one they can run anyway that could win. The convention people will also not want to be seen as starting a pointless war against Mike Lee.

Huntsman Jr could not win a primary or general, even in the northeast. Paul LePage did twice.

Huntsman, Joe Manchin and Mike Bloomberg promote Cromnibus, amnesty and Gun control at No Labels. Started immediately after the Tea Party to bash them instead of Pelosi's far left agenda.

Senator Lee has a +65 favorable rating, with 76% of Utah Republicans having a favorable opinion of Lee and only 11% having an unfavorable opinion. By contrast, Senator Orrin Hatch, while also popular, has a 72% favorable rating and 23% unfavorable rating, a net of +49. Given that Hatch won his 2012 Republican primary 66%-34%, Lee’s even stronger favorability rating indicates that Lee is likely in a very strong position among Republican voters.
Senator Lee is broadly popular with all segments of Republican Primary voters.

Jason Chaffetz bangs on non stop about Benghazi so gets a few twitter followers.

He'll probably lose support when he shows he is as impotent as Darrell Issa on Insight committee.
