David Vitter could end Cruz's love affair with the GOP base over Cruz's support for increased legal immigration. Vitter is closer to Jeff Sessions on opposing H1B and increased legal immigration.

Cruz may flip flop and Rand needs to call him out. My guess is Cruz will change his mind and say he only wants more immigration once there is full employment.

Jeff Sessions and David Vitter will vote the same on the judiciary. Vitter has a governor race to win in 2015 and the only problem is if the other Republican gets ahead of him.

Vitter's the biggest ticket in 2015, way more popular than whoever the Kentucky or Mississippi GOP runs.

Illegal aliens and noncitizens who vote in U.S. elections would be put on an accelerated path toward deportation under new legislation introduced by Republican Louisiana Sen. David Vitter.

U.S. Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL), a senior member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, joined with Sen. David Vitter (R-LA), Rep. Mo Brooks (R-AL), and Rep. Lou Barletta (R-PA) in issuing the following statements today regarding the new Center for Immigration Studies report on the adverse impact that the Gang of Eight’s guest worker provisions would have on American workers, in addition to the 30 million individuals who would receive legal status under the plan:

http://www.lauraingraham.com/b/Jeff-Sessions-versus-the-open-borders-gang/-712715286672017223.html

The entire committee, save Sessions, voted against a Sessions amendment that would have restricted the number of people eligible to enter the U.S. on green cards and work visas. The amendment would have capped the number of legal immigrants at 33 million over 10 years. The proposal was voted down 17-1.

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), a vocal opponent of the "Gang of Eight" bill, rejected the notion that the government should significantly restrict the future flow of immigrants.

"We need to remain a nation that not just welcomes, but celebrates legal immigrants," Cruz said. "I think we should expand legal immigration but do so in conjunction with putting real teeth on border [enforcement]."

Now Sessions has Vitter's vote as well and maybe Perdues. Then the other conservatives have to explain why they voted for increasing legal immigration.

Sheriffs: Executive Amnesty Jeopardizes Community Safety

On December 10, sheriffs from around the country organized in Washington, D.C. and demanded that Congress support enforcement of immigration law and defund President Obama's executive action to legalize millions of illegal aliens.

So Ted Cruz is neoconservative on foreign policy, military spending and immigration. But he pays good lip service to the Constitution! (While a Democrat is President).

Ted Cruz,
"My amendment to increase H-1B workers, five fold, from 65,000 to 325,000 workers per year..."

Savage,
Crus is finished "Cruz wants to increase immigration, AND give amnesty to H1-B, H-2C, and Nursing workers"

Anyone find it very odd that Ted Cruz appears to be going overboard on these policies? He even talked down to American citizens, which should send up a red flag. I think there's something going on behind the scenes with the Cruz family, NSA-AMDOCS, manchurian implant or something... this guy is like a broken record, programmed to only say what the money masters dictate, etc.

Always remember this, Ted Cruz booed...

Kentucky gov is far more important. McConnell is old, and Rand should be president. imagine if on Jan 20 2017 Rand becomes president, and causes the senate to flip to the dems? could easily happen. and no other 2016 contender has a Dem gov.

They need 3.25 million more slaves over a decade? They dont have enough Americans and foreigners educated and being educated now? Id be confident that 100,000 or 200,000 STEM educated people are not working in a high level job and can't find one right now.

They can't use semi-educated people to work the copy machine and pay them slave wages?

As a producer, I would prefer to minimize my labor costs. As a consumer, I want producers to minimize their labor costs. As a laborer, I want the highest wage possible, in the short run at least. Until the firm I work for goes belly up because it cannot compete.

Jeff Sessions to take over Senate panel overseeing immigration
By Seung Min Kim (http://www.politico.com/reporters/SeungMinKim.html)

Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.), one of the most relentless critics of the Obama administration’s immigration directives, is taking over the Senate’s panel that oversees immigration, according to three sources familiar with the decision.

Sessions is set to assume the chairmanship of the Senate Subcommittee on Immigration, Refugees and Border Security, according to the sources — giving the conservative a key platform to advance his immigration policies. Sen. David Vitter (R-La.), a new member of the Judiciary Committee, is going to be the panel’s vice chair, the sources said.
