Hopefully this isn't blogspam, I've never made a blog before until now. My first post is about politics and policy, you can check it out here:

excerpt:

As a republic, it is our duty as voters to make informed decisions. It is our duty to choose our representatives based on their policies, their ideas, and their integrity; we cannot just vote for who is talked about most in the media or who has the funniest one-liner at a debate. The future of our republic depends on it.

Unfortunately, our democratic process has become more about politics than policy. Politics is a meaningless game that people play to get elected. Policy is what truly matters. The point of government is to create and enact public policies. In current times, however, real discussion about policy has taken the backseat...

I think if more people started actually looking at policy instead of buying into the game of politics, we would have a lot more candidates like Ron Paul and a lot less corruption in this country. Read my post and tell me what you think! Feedback is encouraged in here, discussion on the topics is encouraged in my blog comments :)

And if you like it, digg it! It'd be cool to get some readers from Digg.
