I've read that NC unaffiliated can vote in the primary for republicans.

This is the exact statement:


At this time, the Democrat and Republican partied allow unaffiliated voters to vote in their primaries.


Then I checked and I am unafiliated.

So am I good or should I change to Republican anyway? can they change it before the election?

That's what the nc politics site says:

Correct. You just have to vote a "straight Party ticket".

Either Dems or Reps, down the line. All one party.
