News on early voting: http://www.nola.com/politics/index.ssf/2014/11/early_voting_dec_6.html

The number of people who cast their ballots early (http://electionstatistics.sos.la.gov/Data/Early_Voting_Statistics/Statewide/2014_1206_StatewideStats.pdf) in Louisiana dropped off from the Nov. 4 primary election to the Dec. 6 runoff election in every statewide category except one: registered Republican voters.
About 85,900 registered Republicans took advantage of early voting for the Dec. 6 runoff, which was held during the week leading up Thanksgiving, as well as Saturday. That's almost 3,000 more than the number of people who voted early for the Nov. 4 election, and it amounts to a 4 percent bump in early voting overall from a month ago.

Also some U.S. House run-offs: http://www.politico.com/2014-election/results/map/house/louisiana/runoff/december-06/#.VIOqUzHF-OM

Notice in the 6th district. That is the now free, convicted felon, Edwin Edwards. Infamous Louisiana governor.
Will be nice to see him lose tonight.

The two republicans are not known to me. Not sure who they caucus with...
Abraham in the 5th District
Graves in the 6th District

I know Abraham is a doctor by profession. Don't know much about Graves.
Cassidy is also a doctor.

Rand came and campaigned for Cassidy.
Hopefully another Rand ally.

This is the first time a Democrat Incumbent has lost a statewide race in Louisiana. 2 more years of Obama, and the whole country will be seeing red.

Libertarians took a lot of local offices in Louisiana this year.
They even won one in a run-off today:

Danny Landry (D) 48.19% 586
Chad Ivery Perry (L) 51.81% 630

You won't see that very often.

Too bad the leaders of team red are yellow.

Having spoken to Landrieu once, I have to say she is a singlularly obnoxious woman, and so are her friends. Called herself a celebrity, she did. It was all I could do not to vomit.

Poor little unemployed woman.

Mary Landrieu was the poster child of Obamacare. She was the vote that made it happen. She deserved to lose.

Mary "Louisiana Purchase" Landrieu is now gone from the voting halls. All that is left is her brother.

I'd love it if the country was seeing yellow.... and black. No more red and blue.

I meant yellow as in cowards, not as in the Gadsden Flag.
