Novel idea, that---when someone starts a water fight, join in with a smile on your face.

Some group is protesting? They'll think you're all right when they see you having fun alongside with them and develop respect for you. If someone *does* get violent at the protest and attacks you, guess whose side the protestors will be on?

Amazing. Basic human psychology: be a friend to others and earn their respect and loyalty. Attack them and treat them like enemies, and wonder why they don't trust or admire you.

Because a cop in AmeriKa would shoot someone with the audacity of using a water weapon on a protected class. "But, but, they might have had lye or acid in the water gun. I feared for my life."

Shoot, US cops murder children holding toy guns. Adults with water guns, not only aimed and firing upon the hero in blue? Summary execution of the water gun holder, his relatives and his dog, just for good measure. Parade to follow.

Don't forget Officer Bubbles of the Toronto Police :

Bubble Bust: Toronto Officer Claims Assault When Bubble Touches Him

1, July 13, 2010 by jonathanturley

We have seen police charge everything from flatulence to a hug to a pillow attack as assault. However, this Toronto officer tells a young woman that if one of her bubbles touches his uniform, he will arrest her for assault. She is later shown being arrested.

What is most striking is that there is no report of this officer being suspended for such adolescent and unprofessional conduct. Toronto police appear to agree that bubble assault is a valid charge.
