FERGUSON, Mo. (CBS ST. Louis) - Supporters of Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson successfully crowd-sourced the funds to put up a #PantsUPDontLOOT billboard in Ferguson.
Don Alexander of Brentwood, Tenn., raised the over $3,000 to place the billboard in the Ferguson area amid months of racial tensions vandalism from riots following the Aug. 9 shooting death of unarmed teenager Michael Brown.
A grand jury is likely to announce whether it will indict Wilson on any charges sometime this month.
On the Indiegogo (https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/pants-up-don-t-loot-ferguson-billboard) crowdfunding page, Alexander wrote, “This crowdfunding campaign is for the purchase of a billboard in the Ferguson, MO area. The billboard will display black text on a white background with the text ‘#PantsUPDontLoot’.”

The first-credited use of the “pants up, don’t loot” phrase is from a National Review article taking a dig at the “Hands up, don’t shoot” phrase being used by protestors seeking an indictment of Wilson.

Alexander said he is keeping the location of “the exact billboard/company undisclosed because the companies we choose are being targeted with the intention of shutting us down and making it impossible for the project to move forward.”

$225000 in Crowdfunding Raised to Support Darren Wilson

A crowdfunding site created this week to support Ferguson, Missouri, police officer Darren Wilson and his family continues to rake in donations, but not without backlash against comments made by some of the campaign's donors.

OTOH, support for protests is also growing with Diddy calling for SWC to get on a plane to Ferguson.

Not really, it's not. The minority of the people there are looters. It's just they get all the attention of the media and the sheep like you fall in line when the police start handing out the beat downs.

The majority of the protest in America ends the same way doesn't it?

People protest vs the government/police.
A small group (usually dressed in black) starts vandalizing property/looting. (Although they are never caught)
The media highlights and amplifies those incidents gaining sympathy from the population.
The police uses this new found support as justification to beat down all of the rest of the protesters.
Sheep like you cheer them on.

Blacks have plenty of legitimate grievances against police, as highlighted by Ferguson. Blacks are more likely to be against police because they're unfairly targeted on average and given harsher sentences for the same crimes committed by whites. There's a long history of systemic racism. So no, it's not surprising that the group supporting the PD is majority white.

Lets see what happens when this woman has a son who's pulled over and the cop perceives the boy's attitude as noncompliant and decides to beat the fuck out of him on the side of the road.

If I have to speculate, I would say many supporters of DW see his use of force justified, do not relate to innocent victims of police abuse or do not consider themselves to be at risk of being abused by cops.

By same token, won't be surprised if many protestors of this police abuse claimed to be supporters of swc Obama because they see his use of force by him elsewhere justified, do not relate to innocent victims of his drone policy or do not consider themselves to be at risk of being droned by Obama.
So at least a good part of these alignments are "racial" or tribal in nature as it was pointed out by another guest above.
