And there it is.

"[S]ince the Affordable Care Act was enacted in 2010, the relationship between the Obama administration and insurers has evolved into a powerful, mutually beneficial partnership," writes Robert Pear at the New York Times, "that has been a boon to the nation’s largest private health plans and led to a profitable surge in their Medicaid enrollment."

So much so, in fact, that insurers may soon be on a collision course with the Republican majority in the new Congress. Insurers, often aligned with Republicans in the past, have built their business plans around the law and will strenuously resist Republican efforts to dismantle it. Since Mr. Obama signed the law, share prices for four of the major insurance companies — Aetna, Cigna, Humana and UnitedHealth — have more than doubled, while the Standard & Poor’s 500-stock index has increased about 70 percent.

“These companies all look at government programs as growth markets,” said Michael J. Tuffin, a former executive vice president of America’s Health Insurance Plans, the main lobby for the industry. “There will be nearly $2 trillion of subsidized coverage through insurance exchanges and Medicaid over the next 10 years. These are pragmatic companies. They will follow the customer.”

“We are in this together,” Kevin J. Counihan, the chief executive of the federal insurance marketplace, told insurers at a recent conference in Washington. “You have been our partners,” and for that, he said, “we are very grateful.”

I think they will ultimately get squeezed between rising costs on the one hand and government deficits on the other.

I think they will ultimately get squeezed between rising costs on the one hand and government deficits on the other.

My insurance agent who was trying his best to convince my son to sign up for Obamacare last year just told me "ACA is not working in
Texas at all." My sons insurance just went up 30% for no reason. He didn't even go to the doctor this year. It's a crappy compliant bronze plan. So now the agent is advising not to sign up on Obamacare.

OF course! In 2009 Senator Jeanne Shaheen accused demonstrators (http://www.nhteapartycoalition.org/tea/2010/06/09/shaheen-should-be-ashamed-for-cowardly-misleading-press-release/) of being there on behalf of “Washington insiders, insurance companies, and well-financed special interests.” Now we learn the insurance companies were the ones in on it and they will benefit by the cozy relationship and guaranteed profits they will enjoy as a result of the public being "Grubered" over Obamacare.

And the fascists in Washington love the fascists in the insurance industry right back.

Obamacare Exchange Chief to Health Insurers: "You Have Been Our Partners...We Are Very Grateful"

Obamacare was signed into law on March 23, 2010. However, one year earlier in March of 2009, after Obama's election, drafts of the bill were being circulated within the insurance industry, and amongst the staffs of the politicians they helped to get elected. Although Nancy Pelosi is famous for saying, "We have to pass the bill to find out what’s in it,” that was not the case for the insurance company insiders that were actually drafting the bill.

Since the inception of Obamacare, United Healthcare stock has increased more than 340%, and Humana stock has increased more than 440%; this appreciation is in addition to the quarterly dividends HUM has paid since June 28, 2011. This impressive feat may come as a surprise to you, dear Zerohedge reader, as I doubt you will have heard about these great American success stories on television. Can you name the CEOs of Humana, or United Healthcare? No? Hmmm. I wonder why? One might think President Obama would want to hold up these companies as shining symbols of, "The Recovery."

Look no further than at the history of the "CHEAP IMPORT DRUG ACT of 2007"

It's a perfect example of Fascism, not only did US Senator Thad Cochran and company kill the bill, US Big Pharmaceutical made campaign contributions to those Fascists politicians, as well as to the FDA, Yes the FDA received $350 million from Big Pharma to monitor the US Drug companies pill production, which was then shutdown in the US and moved to China/3rd world slave labor nations. Exactly what senator Cochran and the rest of the Fascists were stating in fighting, stopping Unsafe drugs from out of the country, this is exactly what Big Pharma did. They moved production out of the US. BTW, these political clowns were also mocking that drugs coming from highly regulated; Germany, France, England, Canada are dangerous and deadly. How the Spin Doctors work 24/7 in fooling the people and keeping the racketeering monopolies going.

Amazing how people refuse to see this political racketeering, collusion, bribery, monopolistic-trust, and organized crime between government and money/crony corporatism.
