Sky Is Limit for Lyman’s New Ron Paul Marketing Venture?
Sunday, December 02, 2007 - FreeMarketNews.com

Now that Trevor Lyman of “Money Bomb” fame has set up a "Liberty" advertising agency to promote the Ron Paul blimp, it’s likely the “sky is the limit” for liberty-oriented marketing efforts.

Sources have told FMNN, that the name “Liberty” was picked for its larger connotations and that the company might involve itself with additional blimps, with airplanes, signs, billboards and even have a hand in an additional media effort such as an Internet video news network.

While the speculation continues, via sites such as DailyPaul.com and the innovative RonPaulForums.com an update has been promised by Lyman for Monday morning, as follows:

An email is going out tomorrow morning with information about the Ron Paul Blimp Tour and a request that people fulfill their pledges by sponsoring air time for the blimp. If you look at our website we have recently added several more features and new information.

While Lyman’s missive is likely to give out a good deal of information, it will just as certainly not explore all the ramifications of the role he has assumed or the services he might ultimately provide. Entrepreneurs like Lyman, a music promoter, often act quickly when they see a new venture or service.

Acting with “enlightened self interest” Lyman has created a good deal of value for Ron Paul via various fund-raising efforts and now is in a position to utilize his own credibility to create a business that can benefit himself and the causes in which he believes. If the market perceives he is not sincere, or is not doing what he set out to do, then support may be quickly withdrawn by Lyman’s “customers.”

But if he provides the services that are wanted and needed, he is entitled to the success that comes from anticipating a market need and offering it. Others who are upset with Lyman, or want to compete with him are free to do what Lyman has done. The market will decide on the efficacy, and all who wish to involve themselves with benefit to some degree. The attempt will inevitably generate an outcome. Equally certain: Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

That was quick. Good publicity, though. We need all the help we can get to get this thing off the ground - literally.
