it's pretty obvious the surge is working but it only goes to prove the fact that we will have to maintain a large presence to get any type of security in this country. it goes counter to everything they are trying to prove about successes in the war.

I think we are just playing whackamole over there, we concentrate on region and another region goes up in flames. Al Saddr has taken back his country in the south because the british are leaving, and we have no presence down there and the violence has gone down considerably, if we leave the violence will go down 99%. If anything the british are setting an example for us of what will happen when we do leave, it will not become a hot pit, they will likely just continue on with their lives.

So no the surge hasnt worked, until 0 people die for a month i will never say that shit has worked.
