What a logical leap one has to take to make such an asinine conclusion. This country is infected with the belief that society will not help others without government decree. This medicaid claim is just one such example.

Since even before the great society, it has been cemented into the psyche of America that government, and only government, is capable of protecting the poor and indigent. Such a belief, to me, is the single most troubling theory in America today. And it dominates political debate.

“Socialism, like the ancient ideas from which it springs, confuses the distinction between government and society. As a result of this, every time we object to a thing being done by government, the socialists conclude that we object to its being done at all. We disapprove of state education. Then the socialists say that we are opposed to any education. We object to a state religion. Then the socialists say that we want no religion at all. We object to a state-enforced equality. Then they say that we are against equality. And so on, and so on. It is as if the socialists were to accuse us of not wanting persons to eat because we do not want the state to raise grain.” - Bastiat

...We want people to die because we do not want the State to manage our medical care.

..

Socialism, like the old policy from which it emanates, confounds Government and society. And so, every time we object to a thing being done by Government, it concludes that we object to its being done at all. We disapprove of education by the State - then we are against education altogether. We object to a State religion - then we would have no religion at all. We object to an equality which is brought about by the State - then we are against equality, etc., etc. They might as well accuse us of wishing men not to eat, because we object to the cultivation of corn by the State.

States who create intellectual property monopolies on medicine are killing people
States who regulate what we can consume are killing people
States who create billion dollar clinical trial programs are killing people
States who mandate liscenses to practice medicine are killing people
States who centrally plan hospital facilities are killing people

States that involve themselves in medicine JACK THE COST... then come to save the day with medicaid

Trusting any government with your life is a big risk, since government has been a big killer of people all throughout history. Not a good idea.

Completely agree with everything said here.

I'm tired of everyone thinking Government has to be involved in everything. It's actually coming up more and more in conversations I'm in and it's getting on my nerves. What can be done to finally break this mindset? Other than a sledgehammer to the forehead, that is.
