Probably stalled for a while since the pols can ignore voters for 12-18 months without reprisal. Unless there are a couple champions in the House that can push this to getting the co-sponsors and bring pressure for a vote. Even so, there are powerful people who will do anything to subvert this effort as we've seen in the past.

Do you think there exists anyone with championship expertise on what a genuine audit would entail? I've read the analysis of many who are soliciting the idea but in their analysis they sure do leave a lot out. Which kind of begs the question of competency to actually take on such a task in a meaningful way. Now is this on purpose or do they just not know the depth of what is required for a genuine audit? Black budget alone is a separate system of finance. What about international financial clearing, modern securities and commodities markets that move on electronic networks? What about high frequency trading? And, of course, we have the agencies who operate these things. Cripes, we could go on and on with the things that just don't ever show up on the analysis these folks scribble up as a schematic for any theoretical audit. Of course, if they did wake up and add this stuff, you'd never see an honest to goodness audit permitted. Right?
