Republicans need to run a presidential candidate in 2016 like a Ted Cruz or a Rand Paul, not a Jeb Bush or a Chris Christie, management guru Jack Welch told CNBC on Monday.

Jack Welch is the guy who said Ron Paul needed to drop out of the race in January 2012.

Running Cruz would be a huge mistake. He would hand it to Hillary on a platter in the general. People see him as a hard right wing nut job.
