The final event of the day was a rally featuring Rand Paul with U.S. Senate candidate Joni Ernst at the University of Iowa. The original venue for the event was a classroom that seated only 96 people. As a result, the campus security ended up moving the event outside instead. The event only lasted about 15 minutes at most, largely because there were several protest groups, including the College Dems and a feminist club on campus that were upset with Joni Ernst. Regardless, I think this was a good opportunity for Rand to offer his support for the next potential Senator from Iowa. It was great to be on the campaign trail again with Rand Paul, and would like to thank everyone that made the day a success. I couldn't have done it without them. I couldn't see Joni not supporting Rand unless she supports Cruz instead. If she supported an establishment member, I could see organizations like Tea Party Express dropping endorsements.
