I have a fun and easy idea for generating some interest and enthusiasm from passers by at our Tea Party events. We can create an arsenal of literal "Money Bombs". Imagine as the RP blimp is passing overhead we could break out the Money Bomb piņatas as though they were falling from above. The passers by would crowd around to take a swing at hitting the piņata and rush in to grab the goodies inside. This would provide the media with an excellent photo op as they can photograph a literal money bomb as they are reporting on the internet fundraising money bomb. The goodies inside would include party favors and candy and tea bags, but more importantly ron paul literature, and play money. To create excitement we could announce that whoever grabs the only plastic medallion inside will win a grand prize like a copy of Ron Paul's book or Ron Paul liberty dollar for example. We could also mix in real Federal Reserve Notes in with the play money and attach RP literature to them.
The piņata is easy to make:
inflate a party balloon, make a cone out of newspaper and attach it to the balloon, photocopy some money and tear up the paper into a bowl paste and water (. To make the paste, combine 1/2 cup all-purpose flour and 2 cups cold water in a bowl. Add this mixture to a saucepan of 2 cups boiling water and bring it to a boil again. Remove from the heat and stir in 3 tablespoons of sugar. Let it cool; it will thicken as it cools. Once it does, it's ready to use.), apply the wet paper to the balloon and cone, cut some cardboard fins and attach them to the cone with the paper mache/ photocopied money.
Cut the tip off of the end of the cone after it dries and fill it with the goodies.
Hang the piņata from its end and a attach it to a rope, and swing away.
I think this could be great way to engage the crowds and introduce them to ron paul at our tea party rallies that will coincide with the fund raising money bomb, and i think it could create a great photo op for the media to cover our events.
