Did they ever get back to us about refunding peoples money if the target of $500,000 isn't reached? Any explanation where all this money goes? Maybe the funds will be divided up for severance pay? If this doesn't work I hope they don't lose their jobs without compensation.

Hell, No. The company is for profit. Once you donated and the blimp doesn't fly, they will compensate another way such as sign waving or something.
