Hi guys, Ive been coming to this forums to months, and just recently decided to join up and share a story with you.

I got to college in the U.P. of Michigan, and if Ron Paul's ideas are getting around here, we are in good shape.

Last night I was at my house, and we had a couple of kegs over for senior parties. And I was slightly inebriated talking to this girl about global warming, and somehow we got talking about politics.
Out of the blue she asks "What candidate would you vote for?" without missing a beat I say "Ron Paul". She seemed really excited at this response, because she heard of him, she saw him at the recent debate and has been excited about him ever since. So we talked about politics for a while and why he would be a great president.

Ive been trying to spread Ron Paul as much as I can up here, Its hard finding time with all my classes and being in 2 fraternities, but I do my best.

Anyway, point of the story, Ron Paul and his message are spreading! lets keep it up!

I have heard from a few people that the last debate was the straw that broke the camel's back. People are seeing through the MSM fog.

I had 3 kegs in 3 different locations in my apartment. And there were people grouped together in each area.......

I was in the living room with one group and someone starts talking about Dr. Paul and I had nothing to do with it!! I chime in with just a "Ron Paul is AWESOME!!"

I walked outside on the balcony to the second keg and people were talking about Dr. Paul and I had nothing to do with it!.

I walked inside to the kitchen where the third keg was and I brought up Dr. Paul. :) :)

Trust me; I do not hang out with people who talk about politics or news. In fact I do not ever recall ever having a news or political discussion with friends since I moved into this apartment in July.

You can only get so biased before people start to catch on. And I really think the McCain scuffle helped our cause. Comparing Iraq to WW2 Germany is quite over the top. We dealt with WW2 Germany without invading preemptively, and people have a lot of respect, rightfully so, for that generation's action at the time. McCain was not only implicitly criticizing the US handling of WW2, but actually putting a large part of the blame for Hitler on US not invading preemptively. That's a pretty extreme position. I thought these guys didn't want to blame US foreign policy for anything? UNITED States, not Divided States McCain! Didn't you get the memo that the US can do no wrong, by definition?

welcome to the boards

keep up the good work guys!!! NH people LOVE RON PAUL, everyone has heard of him, most of them love him... its good

another thing you can do to promote which doesn't take hardly any time... go to bookstores, look for books that are relevant such as current events, politics, Guns, medicine and health, taxes, history farming etc... then order a pack of each of the different kind of slim jims and slip the appropriate slim jim into the book.... YOU are doing your country a service, providing people with free bookmarks!

Yea, it was nice to see Ron Paul brought up at a party, made my night.

I do think people are starting to see the light. Ive been following Ron since he first announced he would run for president. And although I admit he didn't appeal to me at first, hes really got me hooked now

That's great! Don't forget to tell people about 12/16!

Last night when i was at the bar with some of my meetup members I was handing out slimjims to the people I was talking to (complete strangers).

One guy I handed a slim jim to, shook my hand twice :D

The only crappy part of the night was when MU lost to OU!

I always spread Ron Paul when I'm out.

I was leaving the casino last weekend and I asked a state trooper who he was voting for. "Hillary Clinton," he responded. I just looked down and shook my head, I handed him a card and told him and his partner they really needed to check this guy out.

One of our meetup members has an 'Ron Paul HQ' down in the city. He was awakened by his son telling him there was a police officer at the door. he figured they were going to tell him to take his signs down (he has a bunch). When he answered the cop was very apologetic for disturbing him and that she was told by other officers that his residence was Ron Paul HQ. She didn't have Internet access and wanted some material. She said he is HUGE on the University City police force :D

College in the UP? Would that be MTU? My father, two uncles and three cousins went there. Go Huskies.

You should make a Ron Paul 2008 snow sculpture!

Great Story!

Make sure everyone who supports him votes - otherwise his 'support' is meaningless!

Everyone who's interested I point to his site and inform them on voting in the primaries. One of my friends just registered as republican :D

I think it's more impressive that you met a girl at MTU. I have a couple friends that go there that say it is a complete sausage fest. Anyways, glad to hear the news is traveling, although I'm not surprised as I'm sure that school is very tech-savvy and has probably watched multiple videos on the internet.

Haha. So, we had a massive Ron Paul party (all age ranges) last night with about 80 people show up. I don't drink so it was kind of an interesting experience for me.

Anyway, one of the hot girls there seemed pretty drunk but she asked me "So, how did you learn about Ron Paul?" I said "I ran into his writings while researching for a graduate paper on monetary history." She was like "Oh, I just love his stances on monetary policy."

Freedom!

I feel like Ron Paul has made me smarter... I knew all these things, he just put the puzzle pieces in the right order... and the picture was perfect.
Just look at the conversation Ron Paul supporters have at a party... monetary policy, this is what we love... and we love it so much, its apart of our celebrations!
