I just got called. It was an automated call. It went something like this:
Asked some family values questions - right to life, should marriage be defined as only between a man and a woman
Would I be likely to vote in the Republican Presidential in Iowa?
Who would I support (I cant remember the order): Guilliani, Huckabee, McCain, Thompson, Romney , Hunter ( Tancredo - can't remember)
When I said Ron Paul it kept repeating the options asking for a yes or a no. I kept silent and so it kept repeating and said it would cut off if I didnt answer. So I started saying no to everyone then it kept asking if I would vote for Huckabee if I couldn't have my first choice. I kept saying no, then it persisted in asking me on several issues, especially family values and would I like to learn more about Huckabee.

It disclosed at the end it was paid for by the Huckabee Campaign

Is this type of marketing effective? Maybe our grassroots should start something similar in Ron Paul's favor.

Blech. This kind of thing is why even when I still had a land line, I would use caller ID and an answering machine during election season.

LOL

Huckabee's chances of winning are as solid as "Chuck Norris Facts"

Don't worry about it. They KNOW Dr. Paul would crush them if he was included as one of the choices.

Most campaigns conduct internal polling.

They probably believe that 1) Ron Paul is not a threat, and 2) mentioning Ron Paul would only serve to increase his much lacking name recognition.

Huckabee said in a daily show interview months ago that his biggest threat was Ron Paul. It's no surprise that he isn't included.

I saw some guy on TV in New Hampshire saying he got one of those automated calls from the Ron Paul campaign so he’s already doing something like that. He also said he has received two things in the mail from the Ron Paul campaign.

It's done purposefully to make people not even consider Dr. Paul as an option. It's a sort of underhanded, silent attack.

Huck has at least a few million.. he'll probably raise about 5 million this quarter.

Why don't we all call people and do our own polls? Leave out Giuliani or Romney. When they ask why tell them we only include first tier candidates.

This doesn't need to be organized. Everybody, right now...pick up the phone and open the phone book. Don't let them know you are a Ron Paul supporter. Just ask the question.

PLEASE! Try to record these kinds of calls and post them on the internet, so people can see how the polls are being run.
