While not a hatchet job, I thought it unfortunate that a publication associated with professional journalism would make errors that could be easily checked:
1) RP's age: "Paul, seventy-three years young," ==> RP is actually 71; so it would appear that they seem to be trying to make him out to be older--and more unelectable; moreover this is something that they could have easily checked.
2) They refer to RP's stance as isolationist ==> whereas RP describes himself as a noninterventionist (some would see this difference as nuanced, but I don't think it's completely innocent on the part of the CJR)
3) They say RP is polling at 1% in most polls ==> I believe RP is up to 2% now (again this may seem to be minor, but still--they're a professional journalism publication)
