If you want to win the support of the mainstream that ad is the wrong way to go

The ONLY beneficial thing that could come from running a Super Bowl ad would be the media attention. I don't know of a candidate that has done that before. Then again, we know how the media likes to treat RP.

Otherwise, it's a waste of money, and everyone in advertising knows that.

That is one of the best ads/videos for Ron Paul I've seen... Paying for a superbowl spot would be good except it would come too late for the early primaries.

They don't accept issues/politics ads for the SuperBowl.

MoveOn got shut down on broadcasting an ad during the SuperBowl.

its like 2 million bucks for ONE spot
and the superbowl is like one day before the primary, THATS A BAD THING, people are not going to change their minds that late in the game, the registrations deadline will already be passed by that time,

foolish

When Ron Paul wins the early primaries this ad would keep him from becoming another Pat Buchanan campaign(Pat Buchanan won the NH primary but then couldn't win the remaining states and the same thing happened to John McCain in 2000 but this isn't to say I support John McCain). He need's to win the later primaries as well.

Oh really? I thought it was network specific.....the 2008 SuperBowl is broadcasted by FOX....so....lol, maybe they'll run a Romney ad

Good point. It's a huge waste of money. 2.5 million dollars for 30 seconds....

The last I read about the Superbowl was that spots were going for $3.7 million. There were only a couple spots left and there was a huge waitlist of sponsors they can choose from to allow the privilege.

Hate to break it to you guys... but there's a reason you've never seen a political ad during the Superbowl.... because they have a policy against political ads.
