The Richland County, Ohio Prosecutor shot and killed himself yesterday at his home where he lived with his wife.

"in April, a man FREED (a higher court OVERTURNED his conviction) after spending 20 YEARS in prison for a killing his attorneys say he didn't commit SUED Mayer and his employees, alleging they used coercion and bribery to secure his confession."

Although it has not been reported in the news, it is also possible that he may have been facing indictment for various corruption charges, based on the statement of an area man who claims to have been in contact with the FBI as recently as last winter to submit evidence of wrongdoing by the deceased.

I wonder how many people's lives Mayer ruined, in conjunction with the area costumed thugs? I'm not talking about actual criminals where there was a victim. I'm talking about the people who had harmed no one. Maybe Mayer paused to think about that and decided he could no longer live with himself?

This is very good news... happy news. All such prosecutors should shoot the life from their own carcasses in like fashion. If only it would become the trend... the land would become notably better than we currently find. This outcome reminds me of another such smarmy little scumbag (http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0CCAQFjAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fen.wikipedia.org%2Fwiki%2FNichola s_L._Bissell%2C_Jr.&ei=96wmVL7sIIuVyATYsoDYAw&usg=AFQjCNFBZ49-2CJ3yzNXyIAytKNxXDpAjg&sig2=WwNCK8u2cueWC91zX_7nCw).

One down.

Mansfield Chief of Police Kenneth Coontz said his department is investigating a death at the home on Dickson Parkway and assures there is "no threat to the community based on this isolated incident."

Quite right, a threat has been removed.

How convenient, Mr. Mayer did this to himself.
