Dramatic new video shows a TV news cameraman and several other men helping rescue a woman caught in a powerful flood current in Texas this week.
The video, posted online by NBC’s El Paso affiliate KTSM, shows the station’s photog Mike Wilburn wading into flood waters before hearing frantic cries for help.
When Wilburn arrived at the scene, his camera provided lighting for the rescue of a woman who was at least waist-deep in the water, pinned between her completely submerged truck and a canal wall.
After several minutes of pushing, pulling, and warnings from the woman that she fears she might faint, the rescue is ultimately successful.
