I agree with Ron Paul's position (though I understand Rand's argument as well.) We don't defend them because Ron Paul did them (I disagree with Ron on a couple things and I'm sure everyone here disagrees on at least one or two points), we defend them because Ron Paul's arguments make sense. I understand Rand's point as well, but ultimately that money is just going to be spent by DC if not by earmarking, so I say let someone other than POTUS decide how its going to be spent.
