Ukraine claims Russia nuked Lugansk

This seems a bit out there, but so did the idea of electing Obama.

Things stand to become a mite interesting, however, should this prove to be true.



Reports coming out of Luhansk airport in Ukraine state the Russians have used tactical nuclear weapons.Yesterday Ukrainian Defence Minister Geletey gave a two hour off-the-record briefing to Roman Bocskai (https://www.facebook.com/bochkala), a Journalist at TV Channel “Inter”.
Gelety stated the damage to buildings at Luhansk airport were so severe, the only explanation is the use of a tactical nuclear weapon. One building, for instance, was destroyed completely, from the fifth floor to the basement. The yield was the equivalent of 2,000 kilograms of TNT, which equates to the minimum yield for a tactical nuclear weapon.
Because of the complete surprise of Ukrainian forces, radiological readings have not yet been taken, the instruments were not available.

Most stories out of Kiev these days are far from "legit".

If Russia was to use nukes(doubts),, it would be on the Nazi regime in Kiev. not on some minor battle.

I suspect the local militia scored a good hit,, and the rest is propaganda.

Now this is funny, really. 1 - She's talking like straight mafia with use of the term "Whack" (meaning assassination of Putin and Russian people in Ukraine and 2 - it kind of gives an idea of the kind of mentality we're talking about here with the coup installed government over there.

What do they have? Some leftover stashed nukes or something in Ukraine? That'd be a hoot what with all of this talk obout russia nuking.

Seems to me that we're going to start hearing a kind of narrative that hints at regime change in Russia next. Which won't happen but we'll hear it. The nuke thing is a hint.

Assuming the general's yield estimate is correct, it was likely a Soviet era thermobaric bomb and not a tactical nuke. Given the enviro-weenies thoroughness in measuring tenth Bq isotopes, a million curie air burst would have them apoplectic and we would see hundreds of blog posts and dozens of YouTube videos by now.
