Because domestic violence is embarrassing to the U.S. military

(CNN) -- Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel has asked his staff for detailed information about the U.S. military's relationships with the National Football League in the wake of the scandal over how the league is handling domestic-abuse allegations against players, CNN has learned.

News of the Pentagon review comes on the same day a senior Obama administration official decried recent domestic abuse episodes within the NFL and said the league needs to "get a handle on" the situation since so many professional athletes are considered role models to younger players.

The Pentagon is increasingly sensitive to any suggestion it is supporting a major sports organization that is perceived to tolerate domestic violence.

Cajun, obviously violence is only bad if its domestic. Foreign violence is just great;)

Oh, and ignore the part about the guys with blue costumes who engage in local violence. That doesn't count as domestic because they are holy men:rolleyes:

(This entire post was sarcastic, in case I can't properly convey that over the internet.)

Don't they do a fighter squadron flyover of the Super Bowl? Jet fuel for 7 F-16s isn't cheap you know.

Defense Sec. Chuck Hagel asking for information about military ties to NFL

110% propaganda BS... Chuck Hagel is very aware of all ties with all American sporting events... the military is laden across the pregame ceremonies, intermission reunited/proposals, and of course, the flying of the Military Industrial Complex weaponry overhead.

The DOD uses all American sports as a propaganda selling point as well as military recruitment center.

United States of Idiocracy and Hagel's phony calls matchup well.

I haven't kept up. Is there as much rape going on in the NFL as there is in the military?

This is exactly right, the NFL is nothing but a propaganda/recruiting arm of the warfare state.

Do not support this monstrosity, do not watch, do not buy, do not attend.

Throw it in the woods.
