In a video uploaded to YouTube on Monday, Officer Aguilar of the Clovis, NM, Police Department is seen blatantly assaulting an innocent and handcuffed 26 year old man.

The incident began as what appeared to be a normal traffic stop. However, Officer Aguilar approached the vehicle and never provided any information on his reasoning, before demanding license and registration from the driver.

Approximately a minute into the video the young man in the passenger seat validly asks the officer why they were stopped, and this thug with a badge demands to see his identification.

When the innocent man asked “for what?”, Officer Aguilar demands he step out of the vehicle for arrest.

The officer’s partner approaches as the criminal cop is cuffing this innocent man, who is complying, and simply questioning why he is being handcuffed. Aguilar tells his partner he is under arrest for failing to show ID.

Aguilar begins to walk his victim to the police vehicle and suddenly slams this non-resisting and peaceful individual face first into the ground. It’s almost as if he deliberately wanted to do it once he was just out of view of the dashcam.

To top it all off, this lunatic actually charged the man with resisting arrest.

He was the passenger, he shouldn't have even opened his mouth.

Reasonable: 3-5 years for aggravated assault, middle 5-figure amount in damages+hospital care paid by the officer personally.

Expected result: A few weeks of paid vacation.

Best (and worst) case: Officer is fired and then forcibly rehired with back pay after arbitration. Local government pays out 6-figure amount to the victim.

In short: Fuck!

It seems like a lot of these type stories are coming out of New Mexico lately.

Q: Can I see your ID?
A: What is the nature of your investigation?

Q: Do you know how fast you were going?

Yeah. He initiated the conversation with the cop (a version of 2:35 in the video below), NM is a "stop and identify" state, so once he did that and the cop asked him for ID, he became part of the situation.

He slammed her to the ground because it was icy outside and he didn't want her to get hurt -- how thoughtful of him.

"Show me some ID!" -- the new way to escalate every little situation so that the cop will hopefully get the opportunity to go hands on ...

Attorney: Officer slammed woman to ground
By Emily Younger Published: September 29, 2014, 5:26 pm

CLOVIS, N.M. (KRQE) – A Clovis police officer under investigation for roughing up a man in August is being accused of using excessive force again. Lapel video shows Clovis Police Officer Brent Aguilar throw a woman onto her concrete porch after she refused to give him her ID. The woman’s attorney said she suffered bruising to her face and chest.

In the video Aguilar told the woman to come talk to him.

“Outside or you’re going to jail now,” said Aguilar in the video.

In early February Aguilar and his partner were called to Melanie Ryan’s home for a fight. Aguilar asked Ryan what happened and then asked for her ID. When she didn’t comply, Aguilar can be seen grabbing in the video Ryan by the wrists and slam her to the ground.

During the struggle Ryan yelled for help telling Aguilar she has epilepsy.

Aguilar replied, “I don’t care what you got.”

“It appears to be a pattern we are really concerned about that,” said Lindsey. “How many other people’s rights have been violated?”

In the latest case, Aguilar said it was icy outside and he was worried about slipping and injuring Ryan and that’s why he ‘took her to the ground.’
