MSM has been pumping up this video the last few hours on air. This makes me think of what Moxxy from Mox News was saying the other day, media really does a great job promoting ISIS recruitment with this type of coverage. Get people thinking life is like a game of counter-strike ya! Jeez. /sigh

Islamic State’s response to Obama: ‘Fighting has just begun: Coming soon’

The Islamic State has released a polished video that looks like a movie trailer apparently responding to President Obama’s promise to “degrade and destroy” the group.

Released through the same Islamic State outlet, the Al Hayat Media Center, that made its beheading videos available, the brief 52-second video is filled with images of slow-motion explosions, fighters shooting automatic weapons, flames and cars tossed into the air by bombs, all accompanied by apocalyptic music.

It shows U.S. troops and tanks under fire and U.S. wounded being carried to safety in an amored vehicle.

The video, first reported by the New York Times, also includes clips of Obama saying troops will not be returning to fight in Iraq as well as an image of former president George W. Bush after the invasion of Iraq with the famous “Mission Accomplished” banner in the background six weeks after the operation was launched, perhaps a suggestion by the video’s producers of what they want Americans to believe lies ahead.

No one speaks in the video. But it ends by flashing words on the screen: “Flames of War: Fighting Has Just Begun” followed by “coming soon.”

No reason was given in the video for releasing it Tuesday. The Times noted that release coincided with testimony by Gen. Martin Dempsey yesterday, in which he raised the possibility that U.S. troops could become involved in ground attacks against the Islamic State, despite repeated pledges to the contrary from President Obama.

Speaking of the video, Laith Alkhouri, of the security firm Flashpoint Global Partners, told the Times that “in some ways, it’s attempting to prove to jihadists that while Al Qaeda is missing in action, we are rising to the occasion….It demonstrates the true intention of the group, to operate on an international level.”

New Islamic State video taunts Obama, U.S. troops

The Islamic State is taunting President Obama via video.

The militant group released a brief video late Tuesday suggesting that jihadists would kill American ground troops should they be deployed against them.

The clip also suggests that the Islamic State may target the White House.

Obama has pledged not to use ground troops against the Islamic State, relying on Iraqi and Syrian forces instead. Some lawmakers and analysts have said ground troops will eventually be necessary if the Islamic State is to be defeated.

The brief video — less than a minute — seems designed to resemble a film trailer.

The New York Times describes the video:

"It begins with American tanks and troops under attack by fire and American soldiers carrying a wounded comrade into an armored vehicle. The images flick by, including a shot of the 'Mission Accomplished' banner that served as a backdrop on the day President George W. Bush landed on an aircraft carrier six weeks after the United States invaded Iraq in 2003. That is followed by shots of Mr. Obama and the White House at night.

"In the background, Mr. Obama is heard saying, 'American combat troops will not be returning to fight in Iraq.' The screen goes dark, followed by a clip of what appears to be a militant for the group who is preparing to kill men on their knees.

"The words 'Flames of War' appear, with the phrase 'Fighting has just begun' below. It ends: 'Coming Soon.'"
