A characteristically enjoyable entry from YouGov, with obvious bearing on the hawks-versus-doves battle that’s shaping up in the 2016 Republicans primaries. For starters, this table made me smile grimly just because I’m not sure either these days what the correct answers are.

Bomb Lebanon? What for? Do these people know that Hezbollah and the Lebanese army are opposed to ISIS?

I'm curious Trad-Con, if you were in Congress would you authorize bombing in any of these countries?

Personally, I'm well aware of the foreign policy and security concerns in each of these circumstances and I am flatly opposed to military intervention in all.

"These people" are more likely able to name 10 things on the value menu at Wendy's than to be able to pick these 10 countries out on a map.

All these articles and polls are irrelevant until you vetted the campaign contributions to the political whores within the Washington DC beltway. Who's military aid, manufactured bombs, and type of aircraft that reigned down on Gaza again?

Here's the breakdown of the polling: http://cdn.yougov.com/cumulus_uploads/document/beanaxxi1r/tabs_OPI_air_strikes_20140904.pdf

It depends on the particular language of the authorization as to whether I would vote for authorization to bomb ISIS or not. I've said that I agree with Rand's position, that we should launch targeted, limited air strikes against ISIS to hopefully prevent them from taking over Iraq and Syria. But I'm not in favor of perpetual bombing and certainly not in favor of bombing every country. I only support limited military action against ISIS and believe that we should do things differently than what Obama laid out, since I'm opposed to arming the Syrian rebels and believe that we should work with Assad to root out ISIS.

Here's a concept...get the hell out of the Middle East and use force if our own country is attacked.
