my father said paul has a lot of good ideas. pretty amazing coming from a war mongering person

my roomates mother and father are both going to donate on the 16th. they are both jewish

his brother said he will vote for paul because of the blimp

my other roomate came up to me and said "we gotta do something for ron paul." he is the most politcally apathetic person you will meet. he watches rp youtubes all the time.

my aunt today at brunch said paul is our last hope and she will be voting for him

An older woman that lives down the road from me flagged down my fiance as she was driving down the road to tell her she supports Ron Paul :D

How old is your brother?

his brother said he will vote for paul because of the blimp

A bus driver pulled up next to my group, opened the door, and told us he was a former body guard for Gulliani and pointed to the Ron Paul sign we had and said that he was the guy we need.

My roomate, former Wes Clark pay roller, said he likes Ron Paul. Must have noticed my duel bumper stickers on my truck. He's in law school, said that the election was real big among them and there was a lot of ron paul support. I almost fell out of my chair!

I'm yet to find someone who hasnt eventually at least said they agree, and if they don't tey don't say they disagree they just continue to blindly say "he won't win"

I've gotten really good at arguing on almost every issue, an old roomate of mine who used to beat me using really bad argument filled with fallacies was destroyed by me.

Thats funny!!

-I found out on Thanksgiving that my aunt supports Ron Paul and I didn't even have to tell her about him! I was going to anyway if she didn't. :)
-I converted a whole family from Dennis K. to Ron Paul.
-I'm converting some of my friends but its a long process.

I was delivering pizza and I got to the door. It was a family and the woman answered the door. I thought she was gonna stiff me but she turned around to get my tip and with my tip handed me a brochure saying God Loves You. I walked away then considered my options (my cars loaded with materials). Finally I decided to go back to the door and hand them a Ron Paul business card. The wife took it and closed the door. As I was driving away the husband comes running out the door exclaming "We're voting for this guy, thanks for getting the word out! Keep it up!". That encouraged me to go all out the next few days and I've converted at least 10 people I've known for awhile but haven't brought the politics issue up with.

Also I had a long discussion with my sister's fiance who I don't know very well. I discussed the issues with him and even though he sounded unsure, I was told that he's getting the word out to his family and friends now.

The strength of this campaign is that it's like an avalanche. Unlike supporters of other candidates we see through the tricks of the media and other candidates.

Spread the word!

I think I've converted pretty much all of my close family and some friends. I gotta work on converting more people around my area though.

I went to a gun show today and got a lot of positive responses to the 2nd Amendment slim jims and flyers another supporter and I were handing out. Quite a few of the people entering the gun show said they were already Ron Paul supporters. We also saw a lot of Ron Paul bumper stickers in the parking lot.

Everyone should try this - whether a gun show or some other event. It was really a lot of fun. A very positive experience!

I still got Christmas to convert some more of my relatives. It might me too late though since they are Democrats and the party affiliation change deadline is like 5 days after Christmas.

I've got some work to do!

I also converted my neighbors. The only 2 people who have yet to see the light are my parents. They are still sheep and when I tell them that they think I'm crazy just like Ron. I might be close to getting my father though.

I converted most of my life-long Democrat family already.

Next stop is the 12-person Christian Right family in my extended family tree. If I can sway them, I know they can sway tons at their church, home-schooling groups, etc.

Wesley Clark's supporters should be ripe for the picking. I was all about him and Kucinich (I know, shhh) last time around. So were a lot of my friends that now support RP.

i converted my teacher, started off with telling him he'll never have to pay income tax again. that got him. then department of education, small government, and no war sealed the deal.

i left slim jims all over a theatre restroom (like big acting theatre, not movie) and i walked back out later and all but a few were gone and the usher had one and said "i hope i live to see the day where i dont work six months to pay taxes"

friday my friend told me she was driving behind a car with a ron paul bumper sticker, my dad saw another one, and my dads coworker saw two

i got my grandma to become a hardcore ron paul supporter. however my aunt won't support him because he is pro-life and she believes all states should have the same laws and gun control. she's the most anti war person i know though, so maybe ill get her to come around on that.

I gave my battle scarred Blue Ron Paul yard sign to the president of the Federation of Connecticut Taxpayer Organizations (http://www.ctact.org).

I'm not sure if the positive of that outweighs the negative of parting with my veteran rally sign though.

My grandfather is definitely voting for Ron Paul. He's 93 and he says Ron Paul seems like a pretty decent guy. He has no love for politicians --- "They're all crooks and liars who'll tell you what you want to hear just to get elected!" ---, and says that if Ron Paul does not get elected, it'll be because he's too truthful. :D He's voted Democrat most his life, thinks President Bush is the worst President in history, and dislikes Republicans but I've extracted a promise from him to vote for Ron Paul in the primary and on Election Day.

Also, his voting for Dr. Paul has nothing much to do with me. He thought I was crazy for talking so much about a politician who he's never paid much attention to, let alone remember, --- and he watches CNN constantly! So I kindly asked (read: forced) him to watch Ron Paul videos on YouTube and a whole bunch of debates and speeches. That did the trick! :)

One other thing that totally made my day --- I received a (print?) signed postcard from Ron Paul! It made my heart flutter! ;)

On my way to Lowes this morning I stopped at Starbucks to get a coffee. Normally I make my own but I was in a hurry. The really young and HOT girl at the window told me she was voting for him. I was confused but she pointed to by RP buttons and said "Ron Paul I saw your buttons". I gave her some slimjims and asked if she wanted some signs. She said "I have plenty of signs."

We are everywhere!:)

Angelinos are notorious about being non-confrontational with their autos. Sometimes a simple political bumper-sticker can result in a 'flip exchange' that results in an accident. Sometimes their autos get keyed in parking lots. Hence bumper-stickers are rarely seen in LA.

While having breakfast this morning in an Echo Park restaurant, I brought up the fact that my 'buddy', Ron Paul, has been making a lot of headway. I had been pushing the merits of Paul for several years. Then someone butted in and said,

"Yeah, what is going on? All I see is Ron Paul stickers everywhere I go!"

Got about 100 honks while holding signs over a freeway for 30 minutes.

We had a "Honk for Ron Paul" sign.

I held several delegate petition signing events around my area and we were able to collect the necessary signatures for 5 new delegates!

One thing is for sure, there is a LOT of support for Ron Paul in Tennessee.

I've converted my father who was supporting Romney. I think i've also converted my mother who is keeping me in suspense as to who she is going to vote for. And I think I am pretty close to converting my sister. She is a Huck fan. I am working on a couple friends now.

The Ron Paul rEVOLution. That was my first thought when I saw the title of this thread.

All my life I've felt like an outsider in the land of my birth. It became clear early on that all that great stuff I was taught and told when I was young about "America the Beautiful" was just a bunch of crap. It became really clear when those kids were killed at Kent State, when that Vietnamese village was wiped out, when so many of my friends were imprisoned just because they wanted to smoke something other than the tobacco that killed my father. It became crystal clear when I had to flee to Canada, into what I thought would be permanent exile from home, family and friends, just because I didn't want to participate in America's loving, generous foreign policy. I wrote back to "my" draft board from Montreal that, considering my ancestors had helped found this country, I didn't think they were in a position to tell me what being an American was about. But, after all, if "possession is nine-tenths", it was their country, not mine.

Then in 1981 I began to learn the truth, transmigrated from left-wing Democrat to Libertarian, and heard about Ron Paul. For 25 years I've been trying to wake up family, friends and acquaintances, with next to no success, as I've learned more and more about what's really going on. No one, outside of a small handful of "crazies" (some of whom you can meet in America: Freedom to Fascism) seemed to care.

In 2001, everyone put American flags on their cars. Not me: I put a Tibetan flag, the only "country" I felt I could support (there are a lot of Tibetan refugees, and Buddhists -- including me -- where I live). (BTW, Ron Paul was born just seven weeks after the Dalai Lama, and reminds me of him a lot. Bet you never heard anyone say that. Maybe someday they can meet -- as two heads of state? They will know each other, I'm certain.)

But now, all of a sudden, by some miracle there seem to be a lot of people who really do care about all that stuff we heard about America. There actually are some "Americans" who aren't a bunch of flag-waving, "I gotta right ta be stoopid" sadistic bigots. Somebody put the flag through the wash, and maybe one of these days it might actually represent something I won't have to be ashamed of.

Where'd you all come from? I keep tearing up. I really didn't think I cared so much anymore. "I'm over all that stuff; it's just history; countries come, countries go; empires die. Big deal." Is there actually something here worth salvaging? Is it actually possible that America might come to mean something of value for humanity, even after all the horror, the theft of the land, slavery, all the stupid, unnecessary wars, all the killing, all the killing?

I had truly given up; 64 years old, chronically ill, I was hunkering down to do my best to just survive my last years in the Amerika that everyone seemed to want (that my "liberal" friends in their foolishness have been aiding and abetting as much as the "conservatives" they never stop excoriating). But... maybe, just maybe, my last years might be a little brighter than I thought?

Ron Paul, and all of you, have given me my country back. God bless you all.

Oh, and the other neat thing that happened to me lately was reading this thread.
