While Justin Amash and Ted Cruz endorsed Marilinda Garcia for NH Congressional District 2, LibertyBallot.com recommends Jim Lawrence because he is the smallest government candidate. Rep. Garcia has voted well year after year. Plus she made a major breakthrough this year by supporting the decriminalization of marijuana. Still, Jim Lawrence is clearly the most small government candidate in the race. Though, Rep. Amash endorsed Garcia, because even though she isn't the most pro-liberty candidate in the race, she is substantially more pro-liberty than the average Congresscritter and is very likely to win the race.

I don't hold it against Rep. Amash that he supports Garcia, even if she clearly isn't the best candidate in the race. She is substantially above the average Congresscritter and not a bad endorsement. The same goes for Cruz. This is a very unique race in that the establishment pick is also endorsed by Amash and Cruz.

3rd party organizations endorsements are a different thing from politicians endorsements.

Ever heard of "the Liberty Ballot"? A really excellent project: Use it!

This just came out today from the very good folks from LibertyBallot.com (http://LibertyBallot.com). Even though I'm concentrating on my own primary state senate race in this blog, it's worth sending out that the Liberty Ballot is an excellent help in voting, particularly for those who don't pay much attention to politics (as is their right, even if it is unwise). So read on, and pass this around....

On the night before the New Hampshire election, many Granite Staters will be asking similar questions. Which candidates support smaller government? Where to vote? When to vote? Voting for liberty can be complicated - make it easy with http://LibertyBallot.com. Click on your town and then click “Get Ballot”. A sample ballot filled out with good candidate recommendations for the contested Republican Primary races will appear. Save the ballot to your phone, bring up the website in the voting booth or even print out a personal copy of the ballot.

Dozens of freedom supporters completed hundreds of hours of research to make Liberty Ballot a reality. Keep in mind that some of the races have more than one good candidate. In those cases, use Liberty Ballot as a jumping off point for your own research. See the Liberty Ballot FAQ (http://libertyballot.com/faq/) for answers to frequently asked questions.
