Verizon scans customers accounts for child porn

Last week, we learned that Microsoft, Google and Facebook all had internal scanning technology which allowed the companies to find child pornography on customers accounts. Now, we find out that (from The Smoking Gun) Verizon also is admitting the same thing.

In a U.S. District Court filing made last week, Verizon has admitted to scanning customer’s accounts for evidence of child pornography via software that relies on a “hash database of such images.”

This filing was made in reference to the prosecution of a California man who is being prosecuted for possessing and receiving child pornography. The man was caught by Verizon who “detected a customer attempting to upload an illicit image using the firm’s V CAST service.”

Verizon then submitted a report to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children who in turn contacted law enforcement.

So Verizon communications is storing child pornography to reference, as an excuse to catch the same? Shouldn't Verizon be charged with a multitude of felonies? Sounds like that TSA/DHS guys they found shit on their computer... they just turned it around and say, "Hey, I was running my own sting operation to catch pedophiles!"

Galileo challenged the popular view of a Geocentric Universe, and he was correct. This is Fascism. Corporate Tyranny. You WILL obey your employer / cell phone provider / internet service / cable company / landlord / drug manufacturer and disobedience will be met with a Privatized Police Force ready to execute you on the spot. Use of any product inconsistent for the labeling that indicates the purposes for which it is provided is a violation of Federal Law. Have you ever used Pine Sol and Rock Salt to kill a tree stump (and any other vegetation)? Thats a Felony. One of THREE FELONES you have committed PER DAY. And what could be more profitable to a Privatized Prison State than to prosecute each and every single criminal for EVERY action? You cant sue them. You cant have a vote of No Confidence. You cant remove them from Public Office. You cant defend yourself. You cant afford the expenses of a court battle. You cant cancel your contracts. You cant close an account. If you try, you make more money by sitting your happy ass in jail, for life, for the most trivial of offenses. Everything for the Almighty Dollar. Even your porn is illegal. Your family photos of bathtub fun time is now considered a violation of the Law. And the definition of the Law is so vauge that playing a video game could land a person in jail for driving under the influence, or what ever other crime they feel like charging you with. And if you are truly innocent and obedient, it is no defense as they have Legal Authority to LIE. They have a "do what they want and get away with it" badge. Every single person in this country is now considered a criminal. The small time criminals are fined and turned into spectales of public scrutiny as a lesson for everyone else. The big criminals are appointed, promoted, and given positions of leadership.

Your privacy that allows you to determine your future and grow according to your own self determination didnt die of natural causes. Your privacy was Murdered. With a vengance. Ending Privacy allows Unlimited Control over people. And in the future, it will only become more and more perverse. Not just in 5 years, but 50 years when every single thing you do and every single thing about you is recorded. Your blood pressure will be recorded 24/7 to both jack up your mandatory health insurance premiums and determine if you are even in a bad mood and should be charged with Criminal Emotions of Anger. Total enslavement of the human race, and once enslaved, it will only get worse from there. People will eventually be chipped, not just for tracking, but forcibly implanted with built in tazers or whatever form of restraint comes in the future. You will be executed for not meeting your daily quota because it will be a Violation of Corporate Policy. You will be expected to sacrifice your life to hold up the value of a fiat currency. You will be sentenced to death for questionong the validity of the fiat currency. You will also be expected to support any form of policies that replace any system of control that fails including a new fiat currency. You will be expected to take mind altering medications that make you as obedient and stupid as possible. You will be expected to procreate and surrender your offspring as a sacrifice for your own replacement when your time comes to be disposed of. You will be expected to voluntarily send your kids to public school, pay for it, and turn them into slaves as much as you are yourself a slave to the system. You will do all the work and receive none of the benefits of your efforts. The human race will eventually become Borg Drones, with a few in power that ride on the backs of the mindless tortured souls.

So when you look at Verizon hiding behind the excuse of scanning peoples accounts for child porn, you are seeing yet another step toward the total enslavement of the human race. Sure it may take a while, but each step toward enslavement is a step away from freedom.

Did anyone read the description of the pic in the legal doc.

I mean I could understand (a bit more) if it was a picture of a 5yo being molested but it sounded like a posed shot - something like you would find in a arts-photography book down at Barns and Nobel. WTF!!! Also note that it was from early 2013 when the interception took place.

I'd be surprised if the models were not paid for posing.

What shocked me most was the scanning. Makes me wonder if the gvmt hasn't been giving these telco's copies of XKeyscore and they are clearly scanning ALL our traffic. This was caught in flight... I wonder if NSA hasn't been outsourcing collection of metadata and full content of our communications. After all, these corporations are not accountable to the public. The government likes to privatize stuff to make it exempt from FOIA.

When Edward Snowden said the most shocking revelations were yet to come, I was wondering after all we've found out what could shock me... Well, this would and does!
