Grothman is the best choice of those available. Less likely to go along with Boehner.
A recount next week likely will be needed to confirm a winner in the GOP primary race for the 6th Congressional District where state Sen. Glenn Grothman (R-Campbellsport) holds a razor-thin margin of victory over rival state Sen. Joe Leibham (R-Town of Sheboygan).
Just 214 votes separate the two contestants, according to complete, unofficial counts from the 11 counties that are part of the sprawling district in east central Wisconsin. An official canvass of votes cast will not be completed before Tuesday so Leibham's campaign was cautious Wednesday in commenting on the results and whether he would petition for a recount.
