These go for about $1900 each for a 20 foot blimp including artwork, and I'm sure they'd give a quantity discount in bulk. Sizes range up to 30 feet, and the 150 feet of tether line is included.

This is just the first site I saw when googling blimp rental, but a bunch of smaller ones might be cool too.

I got all excited, thinking these were remote control blimps, but still a good idea.

Imagine being able to mobilize a fleet of blimps to an event....

I think the staff at RonPaulBlimp.com are going to go above the call of duty and try to pull out all the stops with any extra money available after the initial cost of the blimp is covered.

I got that feeling... :)

It's gonna rock the house! YEAHHHH GO BLIMP!!!!

I wonder how much those cost. A fleet of these might even be more effective than a single "real" blimp. (plus we'd have our own air force of drone blimps :D )
One bad point:
Max. run time: 45 minutes depending upon wind
but I'd guess that some mods could be made to increase that easy enough.

Bonus:
Selective drop device: included

The website already says they'll be including remote-controlled blimps following the big blimp.

That's what I was sort of hinting at....but, I figured they would read it eventually.

They would work perfect for meetup groups. Can you picture each meetup having a blimp for rallies? On another site i found I think the 30 footers cost around 2 - 5k each.

This place has some nice sized blimps.

The cost for leasing the blimp and service will be between $2,000 to $10,000 per month.

I'm guessing the 50 footer probably costs 10k.

what kind of press coverage would a small remote control Ron Paul blimp landing on the white house lawn get?
Just thinking aloud not advocating anything.

I'm sure that they even have more things planned if the money gets up there.

...It's gonna be so cool. :D

Nice to see some people thinking outside the box. I'm trying to be patient with this project, but I am bothered by the controversey it's generating. Seems like some decisions have been "sprung" on forumers without much discussion, and it's hurting the cohesion that the project needs to succeed.
