We're always talking about how we need to target the 40+ voting demographic and how we need to gain more of the Republican base, well.......

This is it! I'm telling you!

Everyone Republican in any way right now is constantly talking about how we need another Ronald Reagan and they don't know that we have one!

So I propose the grassroots do a television ad emphasizing Ronald Reagan with Ron Paul to target the Republican base and voters that are over 40. I think this would work great if they really started to see how much Paul is like Reagan.

Yeah, I love that video. Reagan and Paul were tight! Didn't Carol Paul used to say that she wanted her two Ronnies to win? So awesome.

Yeah I saw that one, but I went ahead and posted that one since its just giving an idea for everyone anyway. I REALLY think this would gain us a lot of voters.

We should especially consider running this in SC I think since SC is going to be our toughest state to win because of Paul's stance on Iraq, BUT everyone here loved Reagan, so if they find out how friendly Reagan and Paul were, and how much alike they are, we could gain votes.

You only have to break links if the site to which people will be heading may take a dim view of a swarm of people being referred from ronpaulforums.com There are few that would actually look at the logs, to see referring URLs, but some might, and it pays to be cautious on polls, etc. that are in unfriendly territory.

But youtube wouldn't care.

It's a case-by-case thing. You did the right thing, by erring on the safe side.

Well it wouldn't need to be this actual video. I was just posting that video as an example. I'm just saying we are missing a tremendous opportunity to attract older voters and the republican base voters. I don't understand why everytime Reagan is mentioned its not given any attention by the grassroots here. This would be a great thing to do. If its not then you guys could at least start speaking up and saying why its not instead of just letting every single Reagan thread die. Reagan is like the hero of the republican party, so if we get people to see that Ron Paul was endorsed basically by Reagan then we will gain A LOT of votes.
