Though set to retire from the U.S. House after her term expires at the end of this year, Michele Bachmann may not be done with electoral politics.

The Minnesota congresswoman and 2012 Republican presidential candidate told RealClearPolitics on Tuesday that she is considering a second White House run.

Bachmann made the revelation during an interview, in which she was asked for her view on whether any Republican women might seek the Oval Office in 2016.

“The only thing that the media has speculated on is that it’s going to be various men that are running,” she replied. “They haven’t speculated, for instance, that I’m going to run. What if I decide to run? And there’s a chance I could run.”

She should settle down and get a bunch of cats so she can sit around and pet them all day, maybe take up knitting so she can make them all cute little sweaters. Maybe that would distract her from running for office.

Gravity has had four more years to work on her body, seriously, her looks were her main selling point last go round. To avoid a charge of sexism I will say the same was the case for Mitt. In fact I thought the two of them would make the perfect "photo op" President/VP duo.

she was a makeup-with-a-trowel case the last go-around too - we used to have a saying that went "good from far, but far from good"

What next, Hucksterbee?I don't think 'The Huckster' will leave his 'Cash Cow" show that pockets him millions and carries the fools gold follower via his nonsense. He'll be more of a media political mouthpiece to keep the christian Zionists supporting the Wall St-Globalist-Establishment ringer.

Michele Bachmann on the other hand is pure distraction puppet installed to bleed votes plus, take up 'face time and rag print' space.

He didn't renew his lucrative contract. He's running. You are correct... I wouldn't of thought much of it, but since Huckabee is receiving positive accolades by corporate media and hosted on numerous shows, Appears to be one of the ringers. The Money Masters, Establishment Elites have recruited Huckster 2016, and when CNN is pushing him accolades, you know the fix is in.

http://thehill.com/blogs/ballot-box/presidential-races/200518-is-huckabee-serious-about-a-white-house-bid-in-2016Mike Huckabee is gearing up for another run for the White House — and this time, his party is paying attention.
Top advisers to the former Arkansas governor say the Republican’s flirtation with a 2016 run is real after he ultimately passed on a bid last time.
“He’s more serious this time. He sees the environment to be better for him this time than in 2012,” said Sarah Huckabee Sanders, Huckabee’s daughter and a senior strategist from his first presidential campaign. “It just seems so right for a lot of different reasons. I think there is a bigger opportunity this time around, and he’s very, very seriously considering a run.”The 2008 runner-up for the nomination has been hard at work reconnecting with past supporters and building new relationships with the GOP establishment. He’s already visited Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina, with another trip to Iowa planned for early April. He’s made a number of high-profile speeches in recent weeks, including last week’s address to the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC).
If he does run, Huckabee would start off in a much stronger position than he did six years ago. He’s well-known by the GOP base and has even led in a number of early 2016 polls, both nationally and in early voting Iowa and South Carolina.
The most telling indicator of his thinking is Huckabee’s decision not to renew his lucrative radio contract in order to free up his schedule for other activities. A major factor in deciding not to run last time was that he was making good money for the first time in his life. He was in the process of building an expensive house on Florida’s panhandle and wasn’t ready to give up his big paycheck at the time.
Huckabee told The Hill he made his decision to end his radio show to explore other opportunities. He’s also launching a new website, Huckabee Post, that will be a mix of politics, sports and pop culture, a sort of right-wing Huffington Post.

Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee told an energized group of House Republicans in a Wednesday meeting on Capitol Hill that he's weighing another run for the White House in 2016.

Huckabee met with 73 House lawmakers at the Republican National Committee headquarters near the Capitol. He also engaged in fundraising efforts for his HuckPAC (http://www.huckpac.com/home) political action committee and met with other Republican leaders, CNN reports (http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2014/03/26/first-on-cnn-huckabee-gets-warm-reception-from-house-republicans/).

Sources close to Huckabee told CNN that he was given a "warm welcome" from "an enthusiastic crowd."

The sources said the 2016 presidential race and a possible Huckabee candidacy were discussed at the meeting, and that Huckabee was bolstered by a larger-than-expected turnout by GOP lawmakers.

The sources also told CNN that "all options are on the table" and that Huckabee's "taking the steps necessary should he decide to run" for the presidency a second time.

He ran in 2008, falling short in his bid for the Republican nomination, which was captured by Arizona Sen. John McCain.

Huckabee, who took a job with Fox News, considered a second run in 2012 before deciding against it. By all accounts, he is very earnest in his deliberations this time around.

"He’s more serious this time. He sees the environment to be better for him this time than in 2012," Sarah Huckabee Sanders, Huckabee’s daughter and a senior strategist with his 2008 campaign, told The Hill (http://thehill.com/blogs/ballot-box/presidential-races/200518-is-huckabee-serious-about-a-white-house-bid-in-2016) on March 12.

"It just seems so right for a lot of different reasons. I think there is a bigger opportunity this time around, and he’s very, very seriously considering a run," she said.

A key signal of Huckabee’s intent, according to The Hill, was his decision not to renew the contract for his successful radio show.

"I was at the point where I either had to make another three-year commitment or take the fork in the road, and to do anything other than that, I had to have that freedom," he told The Hill after speaking at the Conservative Political Action Conference on March 7.

"Who knows what it leads to? There could be a lot of options out there."

Newsmax White House correspondent John Gizzi told “The Steve Malzberg Show” on March 10 that Huckabee made a major splash at CPAC (http://www.newsmax.com/NewsmaxTv/Rand-Paul-Mike-Huckabee-CPAC-straw/2014/03/10/id/557174/) and should not be underestimated as a top candidate for the Republican nomination in 2016.

"Gov. Huckabee [is] known more today as a television host (http://www.foxnews.com/on-air/huckabee/index.html) rather than a politician," Gizzi said.

"Nonetheless, [he] had the heart of CPAC, even if he didn’t win the vote or come close. He was surrounded by an entourage of admirers, people were crowding to take their picture with him, and reporters wanted his comments.

"I talked to Mike Campbell, chairman of Gov. Huckabee's '08 campaign in South Carolina and the son of the late Gov. Carroll Campbell, [who] said Huckabee's leaning more toward running," Gizzi said.

In December, Huckabee, a Southern Baptist pastor who is extremely popular with evangelical Christian voters, told Fox News that the United States faces a “moral crisis,” (http://www.newsmax.com/Politics/huckabee-arkansas-presidential-2016/2013/12/22/id/543254/) and put the odds of his running in 2016 at 50/50.

History keeps repeating itself. We have another Presidential election cycle coming up where the liberty folks did not provide a national media outlet to have a voice in this cycle. The MSM will dictate whom the Republican nominee will be which she has no chance there. I suspect they want a Jeb Bush/Michelle Bachmann ticket and her campaign is simply setting that up.

Nobody will care. You are assuming the majority of Huckabee voters care about something like a record, they don't. They care about rhetoric.
Huckabee got more than 4 million votes in 2008. He is starting with a larger base of votes, than what Ron Paul got in 2008 AND 2012, COMBINED.

BUT, on this with Bachmann potentially running, my ears are already hurting, "But Anderson! Anderson! Anderson!"
