It's supposed to promote Libertarian ideas and is about this country turning into a police state.

It's just out and there are opportunities for college students to make money, presumably by selling tickets.

Want to spread the ideas of liberty?

Wish there was a fun movie showing people struggling for freedom, but set in the near-future real-world -- not in post-apocalyptic futures, on other planets we can't get to yet, or in unreal fantasy worlds?

That movie exists. It's called Alongside Night and it's based on a beloved libertarian novel. Dr. Ron Paul said about Alongside Night, "Hopefully this landmark work of libertarian science fiction will inspire a new generation to learn more about the ideas of liberty and become active in the freedom movement.”

Alongside Night is one of the most pro-Individual-Rights, anti-tyranny, pro-Right-to-Keep-and-Bear-Arms suspense/action/science-fiction movies ever made from from a popular and award-winning libertarian novel that -- since it was published in 1979 -- has won praise from world-class notables including Nobel Prizewinner-in-economics, Milton Friedman, A Clockwork Orange author Anthony Burgess, Dr. Ron Paul, Glenn Beck, and pro-free-market economists like Dr. Thomas Rustici and Dr. Walter Block.

Alongside Night dramatizes the final economic collapse of the United States due to government overspending as seen by 16-year-old Elliot Vreeland, searching for his missing mother Cathryn, sister Denise, and pro-free-market-economist father, Dr. Martin Vreeland, and the mysterious "Lorimer" Elliot meets in the Revolutionary Agorist Cadre underground whose own father might be the reason Elliot's family is missing.

As Dr. Vreeland Alongside Night stars Kevin Sorbo who headlined the number one worldwide TV series, Hercules: The Legendary Journeys; Jake Busey from the sci-fi blockbusters Starship Troopers and Contact; Said Faraj who played opposite Matt Damon in Green Zone, Tim Russ and Garrett Wang, Tuvok and Ensign Kim in Star Trek: Voyager; Valence Thomas from Men in Black 3; Mara Marini from Parks and Recreation; Kevin Sorbo's real-life wife, Sam Sorbo, as his on-screen wife Cathryn Vreeland; Gary Graham who played Detective Sikes in the network series and movies, Alien Nation; and introduces Christian Kramme as Elliot Vreeland and Reid Cox as Lorimer.

Want to see Alongside Night at a movie theater near you? You don't have to leave it to Hollywood moguls anymore. You can put Alongside Night into a movie theater near you.

Alongside Night has just been released into U.S. movie theaters via TUGG.com, a revolutionary distribution model where movie lovers get to put a movie they love (or would love to see) into a neighborhood movie theater and make money (for themselves or their favorite cause) by selling tickets. It costs them nothing and there's no cost to anyone if enough tickets aren't sold for the showing to happen.

That movie lover can be you.

You don't have to buy the movie tickets and re-sell them. You don't have to worry about the logistics of delivering the print of the movie or returning it. You don't have to worry about negotiating with a theater owner. You don't have to rent the movie or pay any fees. All you have to do is click on Create Event on the TUGG website for the movie you want in the movie theater, pick a date, a time, and a neighborhood -- and TUGG finds the nearby theater and sets up the movie showing where and when you choose.

If you don't manage to find enough of your friends to buy the number of tickets needed for the showing to happen, no harm, no foul -- nobody gets charged, including people who already bought their tickets.

We invite you to join us in using Alongside Movie Nights as your pliers to wedge open the talking-point media's narrow political programming on what is allowable thought.

Ready to put Alongside Night into a movie theater near you?

Click here or on the "Host a Screening" graphics on this page and when you're on the TUGG.com website choose "Create Event" or "Create A Tugg Event."

I like the writer and producer's idea about Agorism. I never heard of this word. He says that the alternative to resistance can be better, which is seeking alternative ways of societal interaction. I don't know if this applies outside economics, but I was thinking home schooling might also be an example.

I especially like his analogy with martial arts and fighting systems. Boxing would be resisting head-on, meeting force with force. If your opponent can overwhelm you with force however, then you would redirect the force.

Yes. People attending the 2014 Porcupine Freedom Festival in Lancaster, New Hampshire were encouraged to see it for free. It is not a bad movie and was certainly worth the free tickets for people attending PorcFest. Hopefully more folks get to see and enjoy it!
