http://www.nationaljournal.com/politics/elizabeth-warren-s-11-commandments-of-progressivism-20140718

She went on to outline 11 tenets of progressivism:

- "We believe that Wall Street needs stronger rules and tougher enforcement, and we're willing to fight for it." (you can have all the rules in the world but if the SEC is compromised, does it matter?)

- "We believe in science, and that means that we have a responsibility to protect this Earth." (I believe in science and conservation as well but I'm not going to arbitrarily sell my soul to the anthropogenic global warming theory without a thorough analysis)

- "We believe that the Internet shouldn't be rigged to benefit big corporations, and that means real net neutrality." (Agreed)

- "We believe that no one should work full-time and still live in poverty, and that means raising the minimum wage." (Inflation not wage stagnation is a greater driver of inequality)

- "We believe that fast-food workers deserve a livable wage, and that means that when they take to the picket line, we are proud to fight alongside them." (see above)

- "We believe that students are entitled to get an education without being crushed by debt." (Subsidize education on a grand scale and this is what you get. Crushing debt is a self-fulfilling prophecy. )

- "We believe that after a lifetime of work, people are entitled to retire with dignity, and that means protecting Social Security, Medicare, and pensions." (Dignity? Does that include the thankless contributors to said programs?)

- "We believe—I can't believe I have to say this in 2014—we believe in equal pay for equal work." (Utter nonsense. All you can ask for is an equal opportunity)

- "We believe that equal means equal, and that's true in marriage, it's true in the workplace, it's true in all of America." (except for the 16th amendment and host of other rights that your are hostile to)

- "We believe that immigration has made this country strong and vibrant, and that means reform." (at one time yes. it has reached a saturation point with our generous welfare state)

- "And we believe that corporations are not people, that women have a right to their bodies. We will overturn Hobby Lobby and we will fight for it. We will fight for it!"(Huh? It's either the right to privacy or it isn't)

I fear this woman as president more than any other person on the planet.

She has the crazy in her - I can see it in her eyes, and that is dangerous.

Please, Democrats, ANYONE but her.

No, Warren will actually create a socialist dystopia. Shillary will just keep pushing the status quo. Just like the dime-o-dozen GOPers will. Excepting Rand of course.

Since I think Rand would kick her butt, I would agree.:)

Which is worse right now? Australia is repealing it's Carbon Tax, Warren might put America on course to become a Pat Buchanan type nation in 4 years. If we lived through the 4 years, we would be on to smooth sailing maybe.

"We believe in science, and that means that we have a responsibility to protect this Earth."

No, that's not what belief in science means. Illogical leap.

"We believe that the Internet shouldn't be rigged to benefit big corporations, and that means real net neutrality."

Who should it be rigged for, ma'am?

"We believe that fast-food workers deserve a livable wage, and that means that when they take to the picket line, we are proud to fight alongside them."

I talk with people in the industry. They don't mind paying somebody $10 an hour or even a little more. They object to people who apply for the job and expect to get $15 right off the bat. These applicants are displaced workers supporting families, not the high school restaurant worker of yesteryear. The displaced workers think they are entitled to this $15 wage, and are willing to demand it using the legal system.

"We believe that students are entitled to get an education without being crushed by debt."

You are not entitled to education in this world. Be thankful when anyone takes the time to teach you anything.

We believe that after a lifetime of work, people are entitled to retire with dignity, and that means protecting Social Security, Medicare, and pensions."

Some people have a funny definition of dignity. Don't shoot my dog or anal probe me, and I'll sort out the rest of my life and my character.

Or she will manage to give the proles a better lifestyle through expanding the welfare state, keeping this train going another 20 years until the rich get soaked too and nobody has anything left.

Yeah, don't know if she could win the General though.

At least I know what I'm dealing with. Socialism>Corporatism. She at least would have let the banks fail. Maybe she's anti-war? Shit I could care less at this point fuck the establishment. It would also be much easier to beat her in 2020 if she won. She might be batshit crazy but at least she's honest and not bought out. Anything but the establishment. Warren>Goldman

Would she have let the banks fail, or would she simply nationalise them and thus compound the Federal Reserve problem tenfold?

Its almost surreal seeing paulites disdain for warren, considering how much they hate the banks, warmongers, and nsa shills.

Your use of the word surreal does not even fit that sentence or sentiment.

I wish someone hates me to the point they are willing to financially bail me out to the tune of trillions of dollars and after allow me to pay them back with tax breaks and assets that I said was worth millions when in fact they were worth a fraction of it. That is the kind of hate Elizabeth Warren have with the banks.

I think the woman who supposedly was a republican till a decade ago just realized that she could swindle more people peddling liberal talking point and just went along with it. She has yet to show me any sign that she is pro civil liberty or anti war or even anti corporate welfare. On the other hand, I will take a Dennis Kucinnich any day of her. The man is even more socialist than her but with his case, I think he is honest and not just a used car salesman with it, he is also anti war and anti crony capitalism.

An honest man will change his tactic when he seeing that what he advocates is wrong and a used car salesman such as warren already knows what he advocates is wrong so when it fails, it only means they should apply more of the failed intervention. Also this is a woman that believes that productivity level of a McDonald's cashier with inflation has gone up so high to deserve them a $22/hr minimum wage. Its not like everyone here didn't know that fast food workers are 80% more productive than their counterparts from yesteryear.

Do you ever wonder why govt(even liberal ones) keeps inflating the currency when it knows that it hurts workers? and if we just adjust the minimum wage to inflation, then why inflate the currency in the first place?

Government does not cause inflation (or at least there are other factors more dominant in causing it).

So what causes the inflation of the money supply? I have heard Ben Bernanke and Janet Yellen talk about the attempt to maintain a certain level of inflation. Or maybe you are one of those conspiracy nuts that think the Federal Reserve is not part of the US govt

What is more dominant that govt printing of the currency?

Fractional reserve banking guaranteed by the FDIC combined with the 30 year home mortgage is probably responsible for most inflation of the past few decades. What would happen to home values if the entire concept of the 30 year mortgage vanished overnight, and you could only buy a house with cash?

Government does not cause inflation (or at least there are other factors more dominant in causing it).

Well, now, since we all know the only things that affect the worth of a fiat currency are supply and demand, I do believe you just admitted that the government has no control over the for profit company that prints the money.

Interesting admission for a totali--er, I mean libera--no, I was right the first time, for a totalitarian to make.

What is more dominant that govt printing of the currency?

What government does that? Not ours. They do other things that affect the demand side of the equation, like beating up any former puppet of the oil patch who threatens to go off the petrodollar. But the banks control the printing presses with no apparent interference at all.

How is Warren not a corporatist? People realize she's a hardcore drug warrior who has gone after Republicans who want to legalize marijuana?

She has zero honesty or redeeming qualities?

I really don't get the fawning over Warren that I see in the media. I haven't seen anything spectacular about her and when I see her give speeches and such I see a crazy lady, maybe that's just me, but the only thing I've seen her try to do is buy off votes of college students in the way of lowering interest rates. Just don't see what's so special or presidental about her at all.

I like that I'm seeing this thread. It reminds me of a recent Adam Kokesh video. I know some here may not be big fans, but hey, I do like what he has to say here.
